My most humble retraction of this product !
On March 14th I reviewed this product an did so with shear ignorance with only myself to blame! When I opened the box (wich WAS PACKEGED WELL) I took the heavy plastic wrapper that nicely covered the Acrilic 16x16 surface and examined it carefully. ●●● SO I THOUGHT! ●●● After convinsing myself of how badly it was scratched, I just laid it aside on a table until a few days later. I was in the process of showing it to a friend when I noticed THAT THERE IS A SECOND (2nd) PROTECTIVE LAYER OF FILM UNDER THE OUTER PROTECTIVE LAYER OF FILM! THE SECOND LAYER IS HARD TO DETECT! I DID NOT SEE THIS BEFORE. ( NO EXCUSE) I removed this final protective LAYER and was SHOCKED. The Acrilic Was PERFECT, WITHOUT ANY SCRATCHES WHAT SO EVER! I FELT REALLY BAD for writing a not so flattering review earlier this week. I immediately went to my previous review and DELETED THE REVIEW! I advise any other purchaser of this product to LOOK CLOSLY at the way it is very carefully packed before you make complete @as of yourself as I did!!! Now let me say this: "THIS IS A TRULY WONDERFUL PRODUCT". IT IS MUCH BETTER THAN I EVER EXPECTED, and much much more. My most humble apologies to all those who read my previous review, but mostly I really apologise to the supplier and to the product manufacturer as well. I truly felt very foolish upon discovering my oversight in this matter. Conclusion: Look Closly for the "INNER PROTECTIV PLASTIC PROTECTION" BEFORE YOU MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I DID!!! It is as described and easy to work.
I could tell you a tale of how I saved the universe with this Black Case Acrylic Sheet 16' x 16" x 0.118". How I used it to imprison demons, while at the same time using it to will a talking unicorn steed into existence to fight the hoards attacking middle earth aside Gandalf. How it's deep dark blackness is so intense that it creates a portal to another universe that has a gravitational pull that almost sucks you in.That is a story for another time. What I will tell you is that it was as advertised, the specs are correct, it is black, and easy to work with. I am happy with my purchase.

My piece of acrylic arrived in very good condition. Only very minor dings, which really don't show when using this for photographic purposes. Don't expect absolute perfection, and you won't be disappointed. I will caution you that 16x16 is not as big as it sounds. This is a good piece for small objects, but may be inadequate for larger layouts. All in all, it makes a good reflective surface, and is a good value.

however upon further inspection we found it had two layers of protective plastic on it and was pretty much perfect
At first glance it looked damaged when we unpacked it as others had stated, however upon further inspection we found it had two layers of protective plastic on it and was pretty much perfect. It worked great for what we needed it for. Would buy again.

Please ignore my earlier review. I thought it was scratched but it comes nicely wrapped which I wrongly assumed was the protection. Then when putting on my glasses I saw the other protective coating! This is super glossy and great for photography.
