Kept our luggage dry
Great product! It kept all of our luggage dry as we drove through several rain storms on our 10 hour road trip. Held up much better than a different brand we purchased 2 years ago. Great, dependable product.EDIT: The dang bag ripped when we loaded back up for drive home. 😫

Very Nice Set! Looking forward to the extra space for skiing.
So I have an SUV but even with that space still seems to go for a premium... After some searching I found this cargo kit at a reasonable price and pulled the trigger. It comes with just about everything you can think of including a very easy to use strap system for holding the carrier to the car and a protective mat to save your paint job. Even has a extra cover to double up the protection if you happen to be driving out on a less than perfect day. I was very happy with the buy and look forward to the slopes now that I'm going to have enough space.

Worthless cargo carrier ever!!!! Not waterproof, cover won't stay on!!! Don't waste your money!!
Item did not come with any kind of instruction manual for installation, rubber mat kept folding under the carrier while driving, the cover would not stay on the carrier, almost blew off, so had to take off to drive. Not 100% waterproof, rained on our way to the beach. 4 hours in rain and got to hotel and suitcases were soaking wet and so were our clothes inside the suitcase.

Good Product
Overall, a good product for the price. We used it to drive 4 hours to a cabin for spring break and traveled mostly highways. The rubber mat that goes under the bag to protect the roof was a little loud when driving on the interstate, and some of the straps were, too. But, it mostly stayed in place, stayed closed, and provided a lot of extra room. Happy with the purchase.

Garbage... Avoid this.
We bought this cargo carrier to take a road trip of just 450 total miles. We thought this would hold up but within the first 100 miles we stopped and the rain cover was shredded. We continued our trip and by the time we finished the seam on the actual carrier had failed as well. Total garbage and don't want a replacement.

Zipper opened on freeway.
I ordered this bag for my friends. They were on the freeway for less than 2 hours when the zipper opened and all of the contents flew off the car and onto the freeway. They went back to salvage as much as they could. I only have a photo of the ruined suitcase, but I will add more photos as I receive them. Poorly made product.

Hard to install without instructions.
The first problem is that there was no instructions at all, nothing online either. Then the mat that lies under actual carrier does not stay, it blows back and balls up in the middle of the carrier. The carrier tore within the first 4 hours of our trip, making it neither waterproof nor water resistant. I was reading other reviews and they were talking about dividers, no dividers came with our carrier.
