Glad we picked this one.
Couldn't be happier with this fan. As other reviews have said, it's very quiet and you really don't hear it running unless it's on high, and then it's just the sound of air moving. Installation instructions are well written and clear. They don't address having two white house wires in the ceiling, but dad said just tape off the extra white house wire, and dad knows. Works great with our wall switches. We find the light to be plenty bright - bright enough to find the bits of trimmed copper wire that fell to the floor (oops). The light doesn't "throw" very far and it's a soft white light (as the description states - 2700K), so perhaps that's why some have said it isn't bright enough. The overall style is modern enough, and we like that the screws that attach the blades can't be seen, as on older style fans. Even the pull chains are above standard quality and have a very nice look. It can be "close mounted", meaning it can be installed without the downrod, making it pretty snug to the ceiling. Buy it. You'll be glad too.

Great for the price
Bought two. Looks great. Easy to install. Runs quietly. Was concerned about the fixed LED lights, but they give off a nice light albeit a bit yellow. Good value.

Very nice ceiling fan
Honeywell doesn't manufacture this fan. The trademark is licensed to the manufacturer. Nevertheless this is a high quality ceiling fan. I was impressed with the construction and design when putting it together and installing it to replace an ugly fan that didn't work very well. The fan has no remote. If you need to dim the light you need to wire a separate light switch with a dimmer on it for that. The old fan already had separate wall switches for the light and fan. Installation was easy for me. I didn't need a dimmer since this was for the kitchen. The fan is nearly silent even at the highest speed. It doesn't wobble even at it's highest speed. Maybe that's because I installed it with the "closemount" which doesn't use the downrod. It moves plenty of air and looks great. I'm very pleased with this fan.

Great Fan. Smells a Bit Like Burning Wire
Good overall. Was medium easy to install. Need two pairs of hands at least to set mounting. Look and performance great. Light is good but could be brighter. My only problem is it smells when run for a few minutes, about an hour. It has not receded in over 4 weeks. I tried to rewire with no avail. The motor casing doesn’t get hot at all. So I hope this smell will eventually vanish.

Great quality fan, but small.
I installed this fan in my small office, and it is great for that size room.I wouldn't think it works well for anything medium or large sized. It looks, feels, and works like a quality product.I found it didn't vibrate or made much noise on its fastest setting. The frosted glass is glass, the metal is metal, there isn't any painted plastic on this, but that does mean it weighs a bunch for such a small fan.I thought my 8 foot ceilings may be a bit low, and picked this because in the product description it said this could be flush mounted without using the down rod, but the manual actually says it can't.However, I found that you can remove a decorative ring from the canopy which reveales six holes that allow it to be screwed directly to the motor assembly without using the 4" down rod. (See picture)I have no idea why the manual doesn't say anything about this.In the end, I found that using the 4" down rod actually works great with 8 foot ceilings. If you want to purchase and install a larger down rod, the wires are long enough to allow a 4 foot rod to be used.

You get what you pay for.
I needed two of these for an oblong bonus room. On the positive side they were priced right, are pretty compact, move a sufficient amount of air, modern styling and did not rely on remotes. My room is wired for the fan and light functions and the dimmer wall switch works fine with these. On the down side is that they we not the easiest to install, one of the two has a balance issue at high speed, they hum, and the light is way too "yellow" for me. I personally prefer a white light and the LED panel in these is not replaceable so there's nothing I can do about it. The hum is not really bad in a big room but if this were my bedroom I'd probably be annoyed by it. Bottom line they work and didn't break the bank. My number one complaint is the light too warm and dim.

Tons of air and SILENT!
I didn’t rate any stars for remote control because my model didn’t include one, which is fine. This was definitely a great replacement for the old ceiling fan that barely pushed out any air and came with the house when we purchased it. It pushes a GREAT amount of air and even on the highest setting, compared to the old one, this thing is nearly silent. Slow and medium can speed are dead silent so unless you are looking at it spinning, you can’t tell, which is great for the nursery. The light isn’t super bright, but bright enough to light up the entire room (more warm lighting). Installation took me about 45 minutes, without a ladder and also, the instructions are very well detailed and the photos are as clear as can be. Meaning the parts in the diagram actually look like theparts lol. I’ll definitely be buying more to replace all the ceilings fans in our home.

It is a Great Ceiling Fan
Great for 20'x15' room. It pushes out plenty of air. The light is perfect.Even though it is explained in the description, the dimmer feature for the light is through the wall switch only. There is no remote. You will need a switch, with a dimmer feature, in order to dim the light. Otherwise, it simply turns on and off. Since I was forewarned, it was not a problem to install the switch. There is no vibration or wobble to this fan.It looks great.I have always trusted Honeywell products, and this has proved to be no exception.I recommend this ceiling fan to everyone.
