Slightly Disappointing, but not later deliveries.
5/19/19 update. I have subsequently used this salt . It is coarse for grinding and tastes wonderful! It is my staple. The first delivery must have been a mistake with a finer grind.Since my return from a trip to Sicily a year ago, I have been enamoured of all things Sicilian--olive oil, olives, anchovy paste, capers, pasta, et al. I had been using coarse Himalayan sea salt exclusively and decided to try the famed Tapani sea salt from Sicily. I am afraid to say that we still prefer the Himalayan salt--perhaps because it is coarser and perhaps because it tastes better. This is fine salt, just not necessarily the best in the world as I had hoped. If you are not grinding and using like one would use Kosher salt, I think this might do fine.

This is the best salt for a salt mill
I only use sea salt from Trapani. It’s the real deal. It’s just the best

Just delicious.
I bought this salt after reading that a "fine" New York restaurant, and chef use it for its flavor, and little processing of it. "You can find pebbles in the salt." I grind my sea salts, so the coarseness is not an issue for me with any salt. I grind flakes as well. However, I love the flavor, it is one of my top 3 sea salts now. Eating it off my finger, I swear I can taste the sea water it is from. I am giving the flavor a 5 star rating for my pallet. What may bother some people, the box it comes in is rather low quality. There was salt that spilled out in the shipping package, and I had to transfer it to a zip lock bag. Not a big deal to me. 2 lbs for $14? Well, I will order it again, it will always be in my kitchen.

Great stuff. When I went back to the store ...
I bought 6 boxes of this in, you guessed it, in the 99 cent store. Great stuff. When I went back to the store it was all gone. At 99 cents a box, it was a steal. Don't know if I would be willing to pay 14 times the price I paid.

Been Using Trapani Sea Salt for Years
I have been using sea salt from the salt pans in Trapani Sicily as has most of the Mediterranean world for thousands of years. Right now there is no better deal on quality sea salt than this. You get 4.4 pounds for next to nothing. Great value for a quality product.

Great salt!
Love this salt. Have ordered multiple times. Cardboard box is often damaged so transfer to new container. Other than that, great!

Worth the $$
I’ve never been a salt “snob”. Now I am. This is so flavorful, perfect balance - no additives. Bought on amazon because my grocery was out of Morton’s at beginning of COVID shortages. Paid more, I but needed coarse salt. What a wonderful surprise. Now I’m hooked and have ordered more as Christmas stocking stuffers for my grown daughters to experience.Adds perfect flavor to every dish, cooking and baking. It is a little coarser than I prefer so I give it a whirl in spice grinder to make it a bit finer.
