Grandkids say It's SO COOL!
WELL worth the money. I sent to my daughter for my 2 and 3 year old grandkids as my own kids had enjoyed something similar. They were napping when she got it, and woke up to this large castle in their living room! They both are having an awesome time with it. It is HUGE - I feel like I definitely got my money's worth. I talked to them on Skype as they told me about it, the 3 year old in particular kept saying It's so COOL Grandma! It's my princess castle! My grandson likes to go in and close the doors, then burst out of them. Their cat and small dog also enjoy running in and out. It's very sturdy and is a great thing to have them use their imagination.

Flimsy cardboard
Yes this is very cute. It's a great idea and it will keep my niece entertained for as long as it stands which currently doesn't look like more than a month. The cardboard is way too flimsy. The tabs do not line up adding to the overall flimsiness of the structure. Tape is a must otherwise the thing falls apart if my niece puts any pressure on it .I'm thinking of adding some much thicker cardboard strips along the edges to reinforce. This is a very poor quality product.

Fun for months!
We ordered this for my daughter's 2nd birthday party. It was a hit wit the kids. They loved coloring and putting stickers all over it. The age range of the kids was 18 months-5 years old and they all participated. My daughter loves princesses and we have kept it up in our living room so that she can play with it. She's 2 so she plays pretty rough and has knocked it over a few times, but this things has withstood it all. Her birthday party was at the beginning of July and it's still going strong. We're not sure how we're going to be able to get rid of it without our daughter getting really upset! Great purchase for the party and surprisingly great quality for a cardboard castle.

Toddlers too young
This castle was mildly entertaining for 14 month old twins. They enjoyed playing in it, but quickly found they could scoot it across the floor.I tried using masking tape to stick it to the carpet. Then they found sitting down inside and leaning on the walls wasn't a good idea either.Offhand, I'd recommend this castle for older children than 15 months, past the toddling stage perhaps. For me, it wasn't sturdy enough.

Frustrating
Lovely castle and beautiful...once outside the box my son wanted to start battle.Oh Suprise: no instruction and we could not manage to built any of the towers. But the kids make due and had fun coloring.Outside the doors quickly were torn off and the fold did not let the castle stand on its own with a sight wind.Recomendation: Instructions and some better design to give the structure some weight....this castle can be improved and be a good and fun toy for kids.

Great Cardboard Play Space - Beware it is BIG!
We love cardboard play houses. This will be our fifth. We have had three houses & one ice cream truck. The houses have all been well played with much loved some being easier than others to assemble. We keep ours in place until they collapse. Average lifespan is around 6 months with daily play. The ice cream truck (a birthday gift chosen by our eldest) was a total bust. They really didn't dig it and after 5 weeks we took it down.So going for something other than a house was a bit of a risk as lets be honest these things are not cheap. Do note the structures dimensions because it is really big. Well it's been great. Very easy to put up (we don't take ours up & down and I've learnt some tricks along the way to solidify the stricture to increase durability, more about that later for those interested) From my kiddos perspective two doors are essential for that all important "charge through". This castle has the two doors. The turret is quite a narrow space but both my kids love wedging themselves in there. The only thing it lacks for us is a roof. For some reason my kids are obsessed with closed in roof areas. Quick fix I taped some large sheets of paper together and stuck it on the top. I will improve this given a bit of time my cutting cardboard to fit. It's not over fussy in terms of the decorations that are preprinted so it leave room for your buddy artist to add there own designs. It comes with a set of pens, no idea if these are washable, I use my own fully washable ones as I have a 2 year old who likes to draw all over herself if left to her own devises.Solidifying your structure :-)Ok put simply if you want any cardboard structure to last passed a week you will need to tape it down onto a large piece of cardboard. I usually use the box the structure comes in. I use that grey heavy duty tape for this job as it doesn't lift at the doors at all. This gives the house/structure some well needed extra rigidity. I also reinforce any slotted tabs by sticking them down with clear packing tape. Obviously you can only do this if you are going to leave your play structure in situ. With this castle what I did find I had to do was reinforce each of the four walls above the windows. When this item is folded and packed it creates creases straight down the center of each of these walls. Even with sticking this beast to a cardboard base the walls bowed out when the kiddos pressed against them. Again a very simple fix, I cut four rectangles of card and taped them to the inside of each wall above the windows. This provides enough rigidity to stop the walls pressing outwards which would eventually lead to rips. The other thing I do if I place this on a wood floor is to throw a mat underneath it. It helps prevent the thing form being jet propelled around the room.Overall we really like this structure. It's not perfect, creases in the center of each wall? but non of them are. Some brands are better than others so it's worth reading a few reviews. before you decide to buy.

Perfect Bowser Castle for our Super Mario party
We ordered this as a craft project for a Super Mario themed birthday party. I added some Mario characters to it, called it Bowser's Castle and it was a hit for all the kids, who ranged from 2 - 6 years old. Item was exactly what I expected and my 2 kids are still enjoying it. I did use some packing tape on the inside bottom corners to secure it and I think that really helped make it more sturdy. Also, I added a little handle to the inside of the doors since my kids kept asking me to close the doors for them. Really cute product and I would definitely recommend it.Update: I just found our cat asleep inside of it so I can say it's something the whole family will enjoy!
