Impressive Reception!
***Update*** 516/2014I am still using this antenna, and it held up to the storms last summer, and this past MN winter. I don't understand all of the "scam" reviews. I have had really great luck with this antenna! I am not very far from local satellites here in Cambridge, MN; however, I am picking up Minneapolis networks that are 60 miles away as well that are not run off of these satellites. The price has been cut in half from what I paid for it, and if I had to purchase another antenna I wouldn't hesitate to buy this one again!I decided to purchase this model based on the specs. On top of its good looking numbers on paper, it also has a built-in signal booster and amplifier! I am about 60 miles north of Minneapolis and previously was only able to capture seven channels on my other outdoor antenna. That was the third antenna that I've tried. With this antenna (my fourth) I LITERALLY now pick up 19 channels and sometimes more, no joke.Through research I learned that this is the newer model of the ANT 105U. I was nervous to purchase this digital antenna based on the mixed reviews for the earlier model; however, I am so glad that I did. The motor and adapter have been upgraded in this model, and they tightened things up by adding flexible metal banding. They have also added an installation kit which includes 15 plastic zip ties, and 25 staples to secure the coaxial cable from the pole onward. When the package arrived I was happily surprised. It came tightly sealed in a grade A box complete with a carrying handle and appealing print. I hoped that the detailed packaging didn't outshine the product. As I took the pieces out I noticed that the most important piece, the base containing the main unit and rotatory function, is very solid and well made. The long end is lighter; however, with the securing straps it is very secure to the base. The dish portion is not as solid as the rest since it is made of a grate like metal, so it is more apt to denting under pressure. Since I have set it up outside it has not dented in a light hail storm though. Overall this is a very solid antenna that I am highly impressed with.It was very simple to put together even though the directions were pretty useless. There were only three pieces to put together with a few screws, and I needed a Phillips screwdriver. Within 10 minutes it was ready to mount. I actually went the super 'elcheapo way and mounted it on a thick bamboo pole that cost $1.88. I buried one end about two feet in the ground and have it six feet in the air. It comes with 50 feet of white HD coaxial cable that is much thinner than the thick black cable that I am used to seeing but it works great.I have had this for over a month now and it still rotates perfectly; although I have rarely had to rotate it because it works great pointed in one direction. It is quite cool to adjust it without leaving the house! It moves at a nice slow and steady pace so capturing channels and tuning it just right is a breeze. It rotates by pointing the remote at the box inside of the house and not at the antenna which took me a minute to get used to.All in all this antenna is pretty solid. My neighbors have said it looks cool, and it certainly has the power of a much more expensive product. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and wish I would have invested in this one sooner instead of wasting my money on others that made the same promise with no results. This antenna brings me crystal clear HD channels that I have been missing since my cable was given-up. I feel like I am out of the stone-ages and back in the modern world again! I am so glad for this antenna - you have no idea! (hence the long review ;))

SCAM
Cheaply made, received far less channels the with my $9.97 RCA rabbit ears which I had to reconnect and this junk?I live in the twin cities, MN, stations are not so far from me at like 10miles at most. Looks HIGH TECH, works as good as a coat hanger

Works good but build quality questionable. Recommend attic use. Good amplifier
UPDATE: I have installed 2 of these now and they clearly outperformed the Esky and Lava cheapo antennas. The amplifer must be pretty good because there is nothing else special about this antenna. The all-plastic mounting and rotator surely won't last more than a few years in the sun. Maybe best for the attic! This works well; The amplifier works great to pull in signals, and the antenna rotator has forward/backward buttons on the remote. The instructions are poor but you can figure it out. It needs 4 antenna connections connected to 2 of the antenna elements and the instructions are poor. The plastic is not very good and I wonder how long it will last. The rotator is entirely plastic, as well as the base of the antenna. The most disappointing part is the mesh "reflector" at the back of the antenna. It is not sturdy at all. It can easily be bent and in the wind it will flex for sure. The power injector has 2 TV out ports which is nice, so you can run 2 TV's without a splitter from the unit.

Takes some work to setup, fairly good product all together
At first I was not getting all the channels with this antenna. However, after making sure the connecting rod was perfectly parallel to the ground and connecting the dipoles on the two active and 5 reflector loops, it returns 46 channels as opposed to 28 it first had. I would recommend connecting the top loop of the VHF loop ( larger loop) with about half a foot length of copper wire so that the left and right halves of it have an electrical connection. The VHF channels ( those less than 300 MHZ) you could see about a 25 point increase in signal quality from this. Then connect the top loop of all five UHF dipoles. This also seemed to bring in more channels for these frequencies, 400-700. It may seem contrary to what the instructions say, but it really works to add about 10 DB of gain.

Well worth every penny!!!
Well worth the money I get over 20 channels and it is easy to install. It is very light and seems like it would break easily but I purchased my first on over 2 years ago and never had any issues so I purchased 2 more. Just a little advice: when needing to adjust for better reception, hold down the button either on the remote or on the service box to be able to rotate the antenna if you go to far or if you would like it to go the opposite way it was going release the button and wait for about 1 to minutes and then press the button again and it will change directions.

Not at all good in the long run...
This item worked as expected for about 6 months.... Then the signal booster function failed.... Soon after that the rotor function became unreliable.... While I was able to work around the signal booster problem with an auxilliary booster I had available... The failure of the rotor function now makes this unit a COMPLETE FAILURE... I will not ever waste my money on such a toy again... I thought that I did my homewok correctly in this purchase, But I gambled and lost...

didn't work for me
The assembly instructions are incomplete and inaccurate. (See ToolReview's review of March 21,2016, for details.) I pointed this at a broadcast tower with 11 stations and got only four of them. When I turn on the amplifier / motor power unit, there's no longer any signal at all. It took me so long to assemble and test that it was too late to return it. At least I'm only out $24.
