Dampit137DT Fractional Violin Humidifier

My daughter is currently playing a 1/8 size violin. This dampit is small, but it has to be small to fit inside the f-hole of this size violin. It just barely makes it in, so I would only recommend it for 1/8 sizer and larger. The product itself is simple but effective. You wet the dampit, wipe off the outside so it's not dripping, and then put it into the violin. There's not much to it, but it gets the job done very well.

These things work great except you have to re-charge them once a week or less. Otherwise they do what they say they will do.My more permanent solution is to build a humidity controlled enclosed glass case for all my stringed instruments to sit. The big plus with the cabinet type case is the instruments will get played more often since they will be more accessible.

the product is fine if you have a violin under 3/4. It doesn't state its size in the product description.

Pictures and description are misleading- you only get ONE dampit when purchasing this item. Otherwise the item is as described and works well.

Good size for a mandolin / violin.

Light and easy to operate. A kid can do it and I haven't been called to the rescue. That's worth 5 stars to me.

This is a simple item. Moisten it to the degree for which its designed and insert into violin. It keeps the violin humidity at the proper level and that's all there is to it.
