Very Realistic Adventure w Greek Pantheon
Thantanos, god of death, twin son of Hades and Persephone, had only known the isolating monotony of his purpose. To bring the souls of the dead to the Underworld. Suddenly, he comes into contact with a young girl who is dying, and she makes such an impression on him, that he can never forget her. She's saved from death, But Than Still can't forget her. Her beauty and sweetness, inside and out. Here starts the first book in this incredible collection, which I couldn't stop reading! I'd gotten and read the first two books before and then got this set. I devoured it in 24hrs!I've studied Greek mythology since I was 6 & spent 2 months in Greece, visiting historical sites & museums. This author has Very accurately and Realistically brought not only the Entire Greek Pantheon to life, but Many others that exist in Greek mythology. The personalities are so dynamic and on point and So incredibly interesting! This was a Fantastic read! I'm Definitely moving on to the spin offs!

... who gets wrapped up in anything and everything very easily. A movie playing at night
I'm that person who gets wrapped up in anything and everything very easily. A movie playing at night? cant sleep until I finish watching it, EVEN IF I'VE ALREADY SEEN IT. Start reading a new book? Power through it all night and don't sleep. This series I kept reading, but not obsessively like I would with just about everything else. Maybe I'm too old for this (I'm 20) or maybe it's just because I don't connect with the characters. I've read several of the books now but have not finished the series. Maybe I'll return to it later but i'm honestly not sure because I have a nice lineup of books I want to read still.I will add that the point I really started losing interest was when the book series went from being from the POV of the two main characters to four. multiple POV's are a hit or miss for me, I love seeing the perspective of other people but I feel it often draws away from where the series began and pulls from the people I've grown attached to. This was one of those stories unfortunately.Though I like the other stories the author was starting, I felt that would have been better as a different book. But something I must admit I really appreciate is that the author weaves in some greek mythology. I love mythology, even if it's not consistent, I like the idea of this story. It just wasn't resonating with me unfortunatly

Must-read series!
Eva articulates a world of Olympians like you've never read before. Each and every character is so well defined, while playing a very important role within the storyline. We get to see the inner workings of Mount Olympus, greed, backstabbing, unfair rulings of Zeus, along with growth and love. Most importantly, their interactions among humans and how their opinions change once a god falls in love with a mortal woman. It leads to an all out war among many. The role some gods play in tricking humans to do their bidding just for fun is infuriating.I love how Eva wove this tale into a story of her own making, bringing each of these gods to life with specific personalities. The eternal love created between a mortal and God, risking everything to be together... Hades, Persephone and the Underworld gods.. It was overall beyond anything I've read about Greek mythology. These books are action packed, full of suspense, and will leave you with your heart thumping. The final book was breathtaking! I didn't want it to end.. It was perfect! These books deserve 10 stars!

A New Twist to Old Gods
I read the series 1-6 back to back. This boxed set is a must read if you enjoy Greek mythology. Eva provided interesting twists to the Gods while exposing the good, bad and ugly sides of their natures. Some of the characters frustrated me at times but the storyline kept me reading. The set is great for young teens with no bad language and few scenes that hint at sex. The ending of the series felt rushed to me, leaving me a bit frustrated. The books were so in-depth and rich that I felt let down at the end. With that said the series is still worth the read.

As usual the Olympians are grossly dysfunctional
The series was read 1-6 back to back. Interesting plot. The gods were arbitrary, capricious, selfish and cruel as usual. Makes you glad they're only myth wonder what stunted their maturity. There was no real justice in the end and truthfully I found the end of the story really depressing. The story is worth reading and free of bad language and free of sexual scenes. I really liked that about the stories. After all the hard struggles, danger and heartache it was Ares who dictated (not Zeus) and Therese and Thanatos who lost the most. The story, while having a decent plot and some good characters left me feeling rather sad at the end. It left me feeling frustrated that after horrendous pain, struggle and labor Therese and Than got short changed. Fortunately there's more.

The Gods and Godesses in a different lite....
I just finishes The Gatekeeper's Saga boxset. If you love greek mythology and want a totally different view of the Gods and Goddess this the series for you. Eva brings a totally new twist to the brothers and sisters. She even bring in their children which isn't done that often if at all. You'll get a feeling that you are back in that time frame with the Gods and Goddesses. The saga has many twist and turns with tons of surprise as you go along reading. Once you start this saga you won't want to stop for anything not even sleep. This is my second series from Ms. Pohler and I am hooked on this amazing indie author.

Charming YA Series
I was completely engrossed in this 6-book series about Therese, a teenager living in Colorado, who falls in love with Thanatos, the god of death. Their love story is interwoven with their life with the immortal Olympian gods of Greek myth in a series of adventures that expanded my knowledge of mythology as I was entertained by Therese's story. I'm sorry to see the series end.
