Just what I was looking for! PERFECT!
PERFECT! Used in my garage as an intermediate safety cut off switch to another outbuilding 300' away, serviced by #2 URD triplex. The lugs will accomodate #2 aluminum. 1" knockouts will accommodate same triplex. Lots of room inside for in/out wiring (#8 copper infeed).I have 40amp 220 breakers on both ends of the circuit. This device will not see a lot of on/off switching. Emergency or service kill switch that doubles as a "switched junction box". This IS NOT a fused switch.Price is right for what it is; Sturdy and well made.. Compact. Wall mountable. Outdoor rated. I looked at a lot of 30 and 60 amp disconnects, fused and unfused. If your circuit is "fused" at the main breaker panel, more fuses/breakers are pointless. This is a simple disconnect switch rated to 60 amps/220. Have a nice day!

Worked as it should
I ordered the wrong amperage as I used this for a water heater disconnect. I only needed a 30 amp box but I was able to switch the 60 amp breaker for a 30 amp breaker and it worked just fine.

High quality disconnect
This is a nice sturdy disconnect with lots of knockouts. Much better quality than those cheesy pullout style disconnects.My only gripe is that it said it was compatible with 14 gauge wire but there is no way the screws will clamp down on 14G. The screws bottom out way before they can put enough clamping pressure on a 14 Gauge wire.For that reason I'm giving it a 4 star review.

This WILL NOT accommodate 6 gauge alluminum wire.
I bought this unit because it was designed for a 60 amp service, which requires a 6 gauge wire set (each wire is about 1/4 of an inch). While the bottom of the fuse will barely hold a 6 gauge, while the upper is 30% too small and the ground is set up for a single strand. (6 gauge ground are 6 strand). I'm not sure who has a product for a large hot tub, but this isn't legal and won't suffice.
