Paliston 25kN O Shape Steel Climbing Carabiner Oval Locking Carabiner for Rock Climbing Hammock Aerial Dance and Swing Set

When I'm up on steel beams hoising up metal chains with a rope, I have the tail end of my rope tied off to this carabiner. I attach it to the steel rope that runs above the beam. When I'm moving to a new position, I roll up the rope and let the carabiner hold it up while I move along. It helps me stay balanced. As a safety, it gives me peace of mind that should I drop the rope, I can always pull it back up because the tail is tied to this carabiner, not falling away.One thing to know, it's a little heavy. It feels well built and I can tell it's going to last. I love it. I use it together with some CARTMAN Soft-Loop Tie-Down Straps.

What is impossible to see on the picture is the size of the lip that locks - it's less than 5 millimeters. So the slightest rotation of the locking mechanism and you are not safe anymore. Both of these came undone on a climbing trip, will not be using again.

Headline sums it up, I'm no expert and not using it for climbing, however I think these seem pretty solid. It still spins free under a light load and I can't see any, even cosmetic, blemishes with it. I'm OCD about having things in sets and this company makes the caribeners and swivel.Literature says the manufacturing address is in Taipei, Taiwan if anyone was curious, same as the competetors. I would have paid more for a US product but none were available.

The pictures here don’t do this item justice. I debated on buying this and looked for other items due to this appear small. It’s pretty good size and is solid. No play in either side and spins smoothly.

I purchased this for my hanging swing on my porch so I could turn different directions. It’s super smooth, if I start spinning and pick my feet up the thing never stops lol. It makes no sound and really I don’t know how it could be better.

Works like a charm. I bought my kids a large 40" disc swing and used this swivel device attached to the tree strap and swing. The swivel works perfectly and adds so much fun. It moves smoothly, even with four or five kids on the swing. Excellent Buy.

The rotational piece is heavy, smooth spinning. Had bought 2 of these for hammock swings. But the 2 carabiners that were supposed to come with the order, were not included. Not sure if I had read that wrong or not, but now have to order 4 carabiners.

Very good product! I am using it in a ropes course and it holds together well and is great for ziplining as it is balanced on the trolley.
