The gift of Integrated Reflexes
With ADD, ADHD and autism being disorders resulting from non-typical neural development, it makes sense to address the reflexes which are the foundation of neural development. Important, "must have" information for a classroom teacher or a parent with concerns about a child's success in the classroom. I wish I had this information 18 years ago when my son was first diagnosed with autism at age 3. Investigating reflex integration 10 years ago, there were only expensive and lengthy therapies available. I believe the therapies that we did pursue would have had faster and longer lasting results with integrated reflexes. This book provides information so that parents can guide their children through exercises in their home and get results. I cannot think of a better gift to a child than having a neurological system that is able to perform the way it is supposed to perform. Get it, read it, do it.

The Lyme pain was completely gone by then but then I started feeling like I was releasing old emotions
I am totally and completely blown away by this book and the techniques that Bonnie is teaching here. I found out about Bonnie and her group from my neighbor who has been taking classes and working with Bonnie for a few years. She came over and worked my reflexes with her lasers when I was feeling a lot of pain and fear from a reassurance of Lyme disease. Not only did my fear go away, my Lyme pain went away too. When it came back the next day she came back and just kept working on me every day for two months. The Lyme pain was completely gone by then but then I started feeling like I was releasing old emotions, old thought patterns and much more. I'm not stressed every day or in fight, flight and freeze mode any more. I have PTSD from childhood issues and so far each day is so much less stressed and fearful. My anxiety is less and I'm able to handle difficult situations calmer. It's been four months of five day a week treatments (My neighbor is an incredible women) and I see true healing happening because of this information, technique and Bonnie's vision. I'm so grateful. I am now starting Bonnie's first on line class and have bought my own laser set up and am working on the whole family plus some of my friends' kids who have learning disabilities and they too are doing great. One has had severe car sickness her entire life, she can't even make it out of town without having her mom pull over so she can throw up. I've been working on her with Bonnie's protocols and she just took a trip hundreds of miles away from home with not one pull over, not one time feeling sick. Bonnie really has found something here and I for one will continue this program as long as it's helping me feel calm and less fearful then I used to live with. Blessings to you Bonnie for sharing this with the world. And yes, four months later, still no Lyme. Amazing.

Helpful, but.......
Very well written & eaay to understand. The beginning is a great read for helping people understand the importance of the primitive reflexes. It was quite helpful in helping me understand why my kid's therapists keep telling me he is stuck in the "tonic labyrinthe reflex" (TLR) and the problems that can cause. The excercises it shows for that DO HELP to suppress that active reflex. However, the author makes it sound like that is causing ALL of my kid's issues and that if we work him through it all will be healed. Common sense tells me that things are not that simple. Please talk to your multiple therapists before just pushing your kid through these exercises. Our PT is simply driven nuts buy my son's retained TLR, and she would be thrilled to see it gone immediately (which this book would have us do), but our OT thinks it would be better in the long run for him to learn to USE the movement/strength that the reflex provides before suppressing it. I think there is a middle ground, which for the TLR would be to do the excercises that help to integrate it, followed by tummy time that allows the reflex to be UTILIZED so he learns how to control it. I just felt like this book made it sound like these excercises are so great you can throw every other therapy out the window, and that has consequences. As a special needs parent trying to prioritize what gets done in a given day, it gets old hearing every therapist and specialist say their stuff is more important.

Amazing what reflex integration can do!
My little guy has Down syndrome and we started the integration program in this book six days ago. At first, he was a terror and a half! Days one through three were ROUGH... BUT he was already doing new things that first day! After a little less than a week, he's more social, his articulation has slightly improved, he's playing with his toys more appropriately, he's talking a little more, and most importantly, he seems so much happier! He's always been a happy kid, but I've never seen this guy smile or laugh so much! I can see him thinking (aka plotting) what he's going to do next. It's been great and knowing this is helping him makes going through the rough days so worth it! I can't wait to see what's next. We're doing one reflex in the morning and one at night and hoping to start the QRI laser this year. I highly recommend!Note: I did the first couple exercises on my husband and he experienced a detox effect the very first time and then fell asleep. My guy snuggled with me for an hour after the first exercise.

Great book, easy to understand and so practical!
Great book, easy to understand and so practical! If you know about reflexes this is definitely a MUST-HAVE! If you don't know about reflexes, but you do have a struggling child or you are struggling yourself, this is a great way to get to feel better! Well written, easy to understand, with lots of examples and exercises! Other than that it offers in-depth knowledge about reflexes and development. Wish all books were this usable!!! Wonderful tool for parents AND professionals
I am an occupational therapist and I would absolutely recommend this book to other professionals AND it is so user friendly that it would be a great purchase for parents as well! It really helps with understanding why it is so important for integration of reflexes AND how lack there of contribute to not only gross/ fine motor deficits but also behavioral concerns. Great buy!
