Great amp, not a lot of bass. (Schematic Attached).
This is a great little Valve/Tube amp. I sad the manufacturer for the schematic and they sent it to me much to my surprise as I haven’t found it anywhere online. The 6p1s are paralleled up in the output stage, which is not a common design, but it’s a cheap way to get reasonable power output using inexpensive valves/tubes. It sounds great, I’m an engineer that grew up with these amps not an audiophile and it sounds a lot better to me than many of the 1950s amps I remember. My only criticism is it desperately needs treble and bass controls. I could retro fit this circuitry as there is a 1k resistor on the input so plenty of scope to do this. However I have decided to buy a valve preamp instead. Even once you can turn up the bass, don’t expect a lot of it!
