Just Us Girls: A Bible Study on Being God's Girl in Middle School

Girls between the ages of 11 and 14 are the target audience for this devotional Bible study. It will take about three months to finish all 60 of the daily devotionals. The girls can even determine which chapters will be most helpful to them via a questionnaire.Girls need support from other women since figuring out who they are, who they hang out with, and what they think may be challenging. Without female time, a girl's life just can't work properly. This book offers guidance as well as realistic road signs about what to anticipate in the future.It might be difficult to deal with people's complex personalities and their potential for bad behavior. With the help of this book, you can determine God's plan for your life, how it will be carried out, and how to handle issues like drama and friends.

Used this with 7th and 8th grade girls. It led to good discussions.

Wonderfully written devotional, good for almost any age. I, personally, read aloud to my older two children who also gained from the experience.Definitely recommend.

Great book for middle school age girls !

Just finished this with my 12 year old granddaughter and we both thought it was great. It promotes great discussions and her writing is entertaining but also insightful. I wish I had chosen this for my 14 year old too because I believe it speaks to even older girls.

This bible study/devotional is like every other I’ve read geared towards middle schoolers. It assumes there is conflict at every turn. If your daughter is a happy, carefree child, this book will make the world (middle school) seem jaded. I wish there were bible studies that didn’t assume everything was difficult in a tweens life. I would also say this book is more for an 8th grader than a 6th grader based on the talk about dating.

I used this book for a study for middle and high school girls at our church. We'd go through a chapter every two weeks, and the girls really opened up with the questions provided in the book. We opened the study up to their moms as well, and although the girls quieted down a bit at first, they returned to being open after hearing some of the things their moms shared with truth, hope, and humility. The group has grown four-fold with just the girls, and they're seriously studying the topics presented in this book. Some of the moms even mentioned to me on the side that a number of topics could be used to help their marriages. It's been a great study, and I highly recommend it to others. Do not push through it too fast. You won't regret it.

I have 2 middle school girls and I lead a middle/high school small group for them and their friends each week. They are all different personalities and maturity levels. They chose this book, and we have all been impressed. As a young woman Hannah has a way of connecting with girls where they are at and challenging them to a deeper maturity with each other and in their relationship with Jesus. Whether it's just a mom & daughter going through this study or a group of young ladies who need to know they are not alone in their faith I highly recommend Just Us Girls. The weekly Bible study commitment has been the right amount for my girls who have busy lives with homework, family commitments, sports & after school activities. Hannah breaks each chapter's study into daily reading and question answering so that the girls get into the habit of spending time in the Bible every day.
