Eat Your Roses
Wonderful ideas for both eating and planting. I had some knowledge and had planted the ones I knew about. Now I can go crazy for "pretty" and appetizing food.

Nice Little Book
Not exactly what I was expecting but I like the book, anyhow. It has several recipes in it that I'll probably never make, though, as they all have too many ingredients...not as simple as I'd like. Also, unless you can grow your own garden, you will have to purchase flowers from a reputable distributor. (This book DOES have a 'resource' page with a list of specialty stores.)With that said, it's a cute little book with a lot of good information and beautiful photos. I leave it on my coffee table for guests to browse through......

I love this little book!
I love this little, powerhouse of a book! Not only are the photographs fabulous, but the book is spiral bound for easy use and the explanations for flower use sensible. Why use roses? This book explains why. Who eats flowers? This book explains how your garden tastes translate into delicious and talk-worthy delights. It also, very wisely, goes over the "Rules foreating edible flowers" and "What flowers are NOT edible." One wouldn't want a dining guest to go wobbly on you! I found Denise Schreiber's book to be a terrific gift to garden lovers as well as those who want to dine a bit on the "wild" side. In the middle of winter, it is a refreshing reminder of the joys of planting, growing and soon, eating season.
