Make Money As A Life Coach: How to Become a Life Coach and Attract Your First Paying Client Paperback – February 15, 2018

Melissa Ricker and Sally Miller do a great job in this book, with a clearly laid out, step-by-step approach to making money as a coach. They really help you get clear on your vision as a coach and to define your niche, which is highly important in order to stand out in the sea of coaches that are out there. Most of all, they keep this book very practical and useful by laying out action steps at the end of each chapter, so you're not just absorbing the information, but already have a to do list laid out on what needs to get done to get you on your way to making money.

This is a great little book if you have ever thought about being a coach. It is written by two coaches who are not that far up the ladder so has all the insights into the initial things you should do from people who have just been there. It included things I would not have thought about like how to close a coaching sale, legal protection and questions to ask potential clients. It also included information on areas I was curious about like pricing. Well worth a read before investing any more time and effort into this potentially lucrative area.

Several times while reading this book (and others in Ms. Miller's series for homepreneurs) I found myself jotting down ideas, facts, making connections about projects I'm working on in my business, seemingly unrelated to starting a coaching business...or maybe she just has the talent to put readers - all readers - into the mental sweet spot for building their businesses, of any type. Which is why I think this book is required reading if you want to succeed in your own business.

I like how every step and process was broken down in detail so that you could understand it well and even offered encouragement along the way.

Very Highly Recommend! This is the coaching playbook I wish I had but didn’t!! It covers absolutely everything that I have been struggling through since I started. However, this book has given me so much clarity. Every social media coach needs this!

It has the practical action steps to take to make it happen. Its the business behind the business. I feel more empowered to be a coach. Its something I've been preparing for anyways but this book helped me to see things in a way to start today.Before reading this book I was only 75 percent sure I was ready. Now I'm 100 percent. Sure there's a little fear but my focus and confidence is greater.I've been coaching my friends and family for free to help them live their dreams. Now it's time to step out and get paid for it.

Sally Miller and Melissa Ricker have put together an inspiring and actionable guide to launching your own coaching service. I could not put this one down until I powered through every page, now I’m going back and re-reading each section, and making my life coaching launch plans.When I began reading this book, it was like Sally and Melissa had read my mind. Every little nagging fear or doubt was right there in black-and-white, along with encouragement and problem-solving tips I needed to overcome my self-imposed obstacles. It was transformative. Some of these books like the sound of their own voice too much. This is great. It covers everything you need to know from how to identify what you'll be good at and a profitable niche as well as pitfalls BUT it's done in an easily digestible way.

Non US readers be aware that you will have to do a bit of local research about charging and legal issues, but wherever you live it’s truly a worthwhile read, based on sincerity and experience. All power to the authors generosity in writing this book - I can highly recommend it.
