Recent shoulder surgery - compacted gravel - NO PROBLEM!
I had shoulder surgery less than two months ago. My ground has a lot of compacted gravel and hidden bits of past construction projects from the previous owner. Lots of buried masonry and chunks of concrete. This thing melts through the ground like butter . Once in a while it jerks a bit due to finding a chunk of buried treasure but nothing that's aggravated my shoulder. I have braced it against my thigh once to stop it from trying to twist at all . I've used it to plant 10 trees and multiple posts for tree fencing and a new garden fence. This has saved my shoulder from a lot of uncessary shovel digging.

Great Customer Service!
Great Customer Service!... Need this quickly cause we were in the middle of a job, and their customer service rep was very responsive and stayed with me until the auger was shipped. The auger itself started right up, runs like a champ, and does the job. This turned a hard job of building a fence into a (relatively) easy job. If needed, I'd buy another one.

2 man operation recommended
This was easy to assemble. Ease of use depended on type of soil used in. We had some wet clay that took 2-3 guys to pull digger up out of hole. Digger is cold blooded. Once running does great but takes a bit to get warmed up. For the cost of unit and how many holes we dug it's worth the price. Cheaper than renting something or having someone come dig holes for us. Seems to be holding up decent so far....1 pasture worth of fence holes dug so far.

Need a hole dug? I know a guy...
This auger is exactly what I needed. It's easy to handle and cuts smoothly into the ground. Made my privacy fence install a whole lot quicker and easier. Auger blades cut through tree roots and rocks with minimal effort.

Product Quality & Customer Support
This item fits the bill for budget and needs. I have zero issues with the unit so far. There was a shipping issue with one of the boxes, not the seller's fault. However, the seller immediately rectified the issue once I notified them and kept in constant communication. That's a rarity these days, and they came through with excellent post-sale support.

This rocks!
Honestly for the price this thing rocks. To rent one for two or three days pays for this one. It's not professional but for around our 8 acre farm it was perfect. I used the six inch bit to go down 36" for field fencing posts and it did not hesitate. Started up right away each time. So glad I bought it

Good buy
A really good tool so far, 18 4 foot deep post holes and still going strong. As with any tool, if you don't take care it will really hurt you. When it snags on a root or rock, be prepared to get yourself out of the way. just let go. If it hangs on roots or anything you will need a pipe wrench to un-wind it. Cheaper than renting one for a day. Iam happy with it.

Ease into roots
Works well for a little earth auger. Be careful it's not the strongest machine so ease into it. There is no reverse and you will hit a root. When you do there is no clutch and it will torque your left hand and left arm. I hit a big root and my left hand was sore for a week. But easily rock it out of the hole, drop your spade shovel and break that root before you engage the auger again.
