To much christianity to be called "dark magic" or "spells"
Really not what I expected. When looking for protection spells I am not looking for protection from police, and yet the majority of the book focuses on protection from police or the law or in court cases. A small portion I can see but the vast majority. Plus it is basically almost entirely religion specifically Christian (catholic ) based. Black magic and christianity, or spells and christianity just do not mix I dont see the corralation between the two. I never would have bought it had i known that it would be based in christianity it is rather ridiculous. There are one or two helpful things in it but it as many as could be if they had dumped the junk portion and cut the protect from the law portion in half then maybe it could have been an impressive book instead of the mediocre ridiculous cross between a religion that condemns anyone who believes in spell craft of any kind and protection spells

Black Magic! (Use responsibly...)
Disclosure: I am not a practicing witch (quite the opposite) and am, therefore, not the target audience for this material. I read and review this book for educational purposes, to give outsiders and beginners a good idea of what to expect.I may as well start here: I tremendously enjoyed this read. The author writes with authority and passion and she knows her audience. The book writes for a needful yet underserved audience (crime and abuse victims) but makes sure her material can be used by anyone. Kaelin addresses a wide range of cultural and religious influences and treats them with the utmost respect. She addresses the moral and political issues of our time bravely and bluntly. If you want to hear what is pejoratively termed "white light" or "fluffy bunny" magic, this is not for you. Kaelin recognizes the value of rage, hatred, and dark, negative energy in spellcraft and in emotional healing. The book is divided into different categories of abuses, namely seedy landlords, police brutality, abusive spouses and partners, etc. If you have a need, you will probably find it here. Low on fluff, high on content, it reads almost like a novel and Kaelin talks almost like a friend and sage.Warning: Kaelin addresses this multiple times throughout the book, but it can't hurt for me to address it as well. This book contains theological notions and rituals that purport to cause harm or death. Even if you don't believe that magic has the power to do these things, you may have to consider that engaging in these practices could be against your current religion or that it might be corrosive spiritually or emotionally. The answers to those questions will, of course, depend on the reader. Read wisely.

Justice will Prevail!
There's not enough (true) justice in the World and combined with far too many perpetrators whom go unpunished for their acts of evil, is the reason and purpose of 'Black Magic for Dark Times' according to author Angela Kaelin. It is disturbing to realise that many crimes go unpunished and seemingly, when perpetrators are apprehended, the Laws of the land appear to be crafted to protect the criminally inclined, from the consequences of their harmful actions. The Sentences meted out by the Legal Court System are frequently Less than the effects committed by the criminals and thus; the survivors are left feeling cheated out of justice and are traumatised yet again. So, where can a crime survivor turn? "Taking the Law" into one's own hands can't be recommended (and its illegal anyway) because of the punishment on the original victim when caught, is more severe! This system cannot be considered "Fair" in this or many other instances. This is where 'Black Magic for Dark Times' comes into the fore; this is a manual for those whom seek justice through supernatural means, after the conventional and Legal Systems have failed them. Within these pages, you will find; calling on spirits, harnessing the victim's own inner rage and crafting spells with candles with oils to ensure the guilty feel the weight of their harmful actions. This is not a book of 'forgive and forget', it is a call to arms and a means to restore a sense of harmony back int the lives of those harmed through the thoughtless and selfish actions of perpetrators against the innocent and unaware.I like this book and agree with the aims of the author. For anyone negatively effected by crime against your person, children, property or possessions, IF and "when" the Legal System fails in its duty to protect you and keep your family safe, then it is time to turn to spiritual means to obtain the justice you seek. You will find it here, within these pages.5 Stars, well deserved.

Justice for All
If you've been a victim of a crime or horrible attack of ANY sort--physical, emotional, or psychic--that's left you devastated, damaged, or feeling powerless, then this gem offers help. In particular, if you lack resources or the court system has failed you, this book is worth your time. It presents metaphysical stratagems to balance energy and mete justice in your favor. My wish for you is that you find peace and be forever protected, loved and safe. Good luck on your healing journey.

Bored, poor
Unnecessary. The book does not bring anything new or anything different that can not be found in any group about hoodoo on Facebook. It seems that the author is obsessed with the police, and that's all you'll get out of this book, despite the title. Stories about how bad cops are, and vulgar spells so they do not get into your property. It seems that the author has forgotten how to include an exception so that the police can enter the day you need it. Or she will never need them and lives in the wild west. A waste of time and money.

This is a fairly negative book. Some of the spells made me laugh.
