The new health Bible
What I liked about this book is the detailed information on all aspects of health and fitness and diet. Cutting edge science and research involved with health span and lifespan. He listed the many sources of health problems which basically are all from inflammation in your body and typically it’s what you eat that induces most disease. He even suggested the best test is CRP test you can have your Dr order to determine your inflammation levels. I am very interested in this topic and reading this book was incredibly easy and all encompassing. In my opinion the author is incredibly educated on these subjects. This is the best book I have ever read. He goes into proper eating patterns to optimize weight loss and muscle building. The best supplements for mind body health. A detailed description of foods you can eat on the keto diet and foods you should avoid that cause inflammation and illness. He listed many reasons why the healthcare system is chasing its tail on some information they put out. As soon as I receive this book in the mail I couldn’t put it down until I was completely finished with it. I highly recommend this book for anyone that’s looking to lose weight anyone looking to build muscle and anyone who has an illness. Thank you for reading my review Bryan

Wow - what a totally integrative book that pulls in all the latest research
It's a huge book full of references and intermixed with the author's own well reasoned extra insights and high-probability best-practice suggestions in the areas that still lack confrontational studies. This young author has incredible reasoning and intellectual maturity and just amazingly well researched information and insights. I have not gotten from cover to cover yet since there's so much in this book that is so thought provoking that it challenges even the basic social and cultural presumptions we all have about "who and what" we humans rally are. Completely rational and high quality nutrient-rich food for thought and application into everyone's lives This kind of book can save lives and add years to a person's longevity as well as quality of life. Wish I had known these principles and had the practical insights and solid practical way of living, and eating (and even resting/sleeping-for-health) when I was a young man. Wow. It's time for us humans to "get with it" and take it to the next ontological level... we're tardy to the invitation. A must read book for anyone seriously interested in being the best version of themselves. "Stay empowered" Siim Land!

A very comprehensive and meaningful book....so much to absorb in here
This really was one of the best health books I’ve read in a long time. Mr. Land put an enormous amount of work into this obviously and you will learn a lot by reading this book. If you’re interested in longevity, fitness, food and wellness, and have the patience to work through a significant amount of scientific analysis you will not be disappointed. The book is challenging, but in a good way I would say… There are some scientific sections that were more detailed than I really needed but certainly I cannot fault the author for including relevant and well researched additional information into a science book, which this really is. Only reason I’ve given four stars rather than five is that the book probably could use some editing and some proofreading. It’s understandable that the author is not a native English speaker but if you’re writing in English you really have to put your English right. No excuses. There’s just no acceptable degree of spelling and grammar mistakes (and even a couple of numerical errors) in a scientific text of this kind. Hire a proofreader or don’t publish. Still, it was a very worthwhile reading experience and has contributed greatly to my understanding of biochemistry. With a professional cleanup and a second edition would probably be a smash hit. Already it’s very a rewarding read.Caution: the recommendations in the book are demanding, a lot of serious daily fasting, highly disciplined eating, and serious consistent weight training required. If you want the health benefits you’ll have to work for them. The book even delves into some philosophy on the culture of hedonism which has proliferated throughout modern society and is a primary cause of our ill health epidemic. So, there is an underlying stoicism to the scientific recommendations in this book. This is certainly not a bad thing but be well aware you’ll not be eating your cake here if you wish to have it too.

Great Information - Very Readable
I have been following Siim Land's YouTube Vlogs for some time, and have been very impressed with his incredible accumulated knowledge and his passion for sharing it. But occasionally it goes by rather quickly and I wasn't sure I was fully understanding. When I learned he had written some books, I bought them all, and as I find the concept of Autophagy and Fasting very interesting, I read this book first. It is very well written and in a patient way that builds the information and makes it comprehensible. I have learned a great deal from this reading and I can recommend it to anyone who really wants to get an understanding of what is really behind these concepts and how to use them in the best way possible. I am far from the skilled individual that Siim is, but I'm working my own lifestyle toward the better as best I can. This is a well written book and I recommend it.

Amazing book that explains the mystery of autophagy and how to achieve it
Siim Land is a pioneer in the study of Metabolic Autophagy. He generously shares what he has learned via You Tube and social media, free. He's a free spirit as well, without sponsors to bow-down-to by advertising their products., unlike many of the ketosis gurus. This book has 50 pages of references! I had a question about thyroid function while fasting and couldn't find the particular answer online, and then I remembered Siim's book and knew it would be there. It was. This is a very well-researched reference on autophagy in the human body and how to achieve it for a longer, healthier life. Thank you for this resource, a 533 page 7"x10" SUBSTANTIAL paperback. Autophagy is a complicated subject but this book breaks it down in easy to understand terms.
