Book binding fell apart
The book is wonderful other thank the binding fell apart and the cover came completely off. So far the signatures have stayed together, but they are starting to show cracks in the binding as well. Content is fantastic, the book is just poorly made.

Beautiful - Uplifting - Inspiring, but not a true garden book.
The only reason I gave only four stars is that the gardening section is not the main focus of this book. Regardless, the garden photos were inspiring and the rather short chapters gave excellent tips and ideas on how to create your own sanctuary.I loved the plant-based medicine part of the book because it was so informative and well done, not to mention quite easy to do. The Daily Practices to Achieve Happiness were not my thing. I have a big garden and I'm just happy to be fortunate enough to get to spend time in it - I'm happy the moment I step through my garden gate:).Overall a good book geared more toward taking care of yourself, nevertheless inspiring and uplifting with a positive tone. FWIW had I seen it at the bookstore I would not have purchased it since I was looking for ideas on re-designing a part of my garden. This is more like three books in one, still an enjoyable read.

A Beautiful Book!
Really enjoying this book! This book has many inspiring ideas for a gardener who is looking for a deeper connection with the earth and offers many beautiful ideas to create a sacred space. The author has drawn inspiration from many different cultures and gives a brief explanation of ancient and modern concepts in regard to gardening. I absolutely love all of the beautiful photos that accompany the text and am excited to try out some of the ideas and concepts presented in this book.

Unfortunately not for me
I knew this book would be out of.My comfort zone, but I wanted to explore how the author used plants to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The book takes a "new.age" approach. I was okay with that- again i knew I was going out of my comfort zone with this selection. Unfortunately after about 90-130 pages the author went into subjects that I was not interested in- the.power of crystals for example. While i.finished the book i was disappointed that so much of the book went on a direction that was not what I was hoping to get out of this book. I think this book has a place and I will re read certain sections, but it won't be the first book off my shelf.

Lovely book to inspire awareness & new rituals
I just got this book today and LOVE it already. I read through the first couple of sections - great relatable writing style. I then flipped through the book and found steps to create my own sanctuary space, a detailed list of plants, some weeds in my garden I can eat, recipes for tea, a recipe for protein bombs, and other practices/rituals. This is exactly what I was hoping for β something to inspire more relaxation and awareness. The pictures are also lovely.

Gorgeous, thoughtful book!
Creating Sanctuary is a delightful book to read and to enjoy visually. I love the easy herbal medicinal recipes for teas, dream pillow, skin and hair care, as well as herbal medicinal recipes such as Ginger Compress. It's also a great resource for growing your own herbs and how to use common herbs. The book is beautiful and has thoughtful ideas for the body, mind and spirit.

Great content and beautiful/quality book too
Great content and practices on how to make your garden space for you. I also loved the view and ideas on using "weeds" in helpful ways vs. seeing them as the enemy. Easy read with beautiful visuals and crafted book.

Beautiful book on healing gardens
I live in Australia but most of this book was relevant. Lots of ideas for elements to include in a garden sanctuary, basic herbal recipes and activities to try. Some of the plant profiles weren't relevant but most are available here. I had my son mindfully stacking a rock cairn and showed him the photos in the book. It's a beautiful way to look at the garden and the world.
