Just set this up, even at the lowest setting on our table patio gas heater, it deflects all of the heat and warms up the surroundings at the level of our patio chairs. Prior, without the deflector, all of the heat went up and away with no heating up where we sit, pretty much just a pretty flame to watch with no other value. It will pay for itself in a few years with less propane used and we get warm now. It is very sturdy as claimed, thick stainless steel, top quality product as advertised. I have seen no other listed to match it and worth the money.

I purchased this on the recommendation of others to help redirect heat from a propane firepit. It's very sturdy and well built, yet simple. The mechanism for the folding legs is easy to operate. It's also heavy, which is good for keeping it in place when it gets windy (when not using the firepit). I've had some windy days over over 40mph and it doesn't budge. It also collapses to act as a lid if you need it.It does a good job preventing the heat from just disappearing into the sky. It also gets warmer after the pit has been on for 5 mins or so since metal absorbs the heat and acts as a partial radiator as well as a redirector. I've had it exposed to the weather for several months now and it has zero discoloration - it's definitely high-quality stainless steel.As others have mentioned, it's pricy, but it's very well built and it adds a lot to the heating ability of the firepit, so for me it was worth it.

We bought this for our tacklife fire pit to provide heat on our covered deck so we could stay warm while meeting a friend or two during COVID. The deflector works great- without it, the fire pit provides no lateral heat. With it, the heat moves outward several feet laterally to keep you warm (and protect the ceiling of the covered deck!). A bit pricey but it is stainless steel and solid. Must-have for fire pits, surprised tacklife doesn’t sell it with their product.

Trying to find ways to see people during the pandemic, we had a propane firepit, but it did provide much heat. We bought a heater which worked better. I had the idea that if we could just channel some heat from the firepit to the sides we'd be much warmer. Not being good at metalwork I thought their had to be someone who came up with this idea already. Well I only found one and they have done a nice job. You still need to take care of your feet, but it helps quite a bit with your upper body. The legs fold up nicely, good quality workmanship and construction. I highly recommend it.

Only drawback for us was if it was a little shorter in the legs more heat would have come out of the sides. It would be nice if the next generation of the product had flaps that could come down to direct heat out of only two sides.

Works. High quality. Wish the edges were rolled. Bit sharp. Otherwise no complaints.

Professional from packing for shipment to product quality very impressed, when I opened the box I knew it was money well spent. Took it right out to use works great I recommend this product it will last a long time and compliments my gas fireplace.

The media could not be loaded. Adds some nice extra heat on those cooler evenings. No assembly required. Legs just fold down and snap into place. Seems very solid and should last a while. No worries about the wind grabbing it. Went with this American made product over cheap foreign ones and it is worth the extra cost. Looks great too.
