Thank you for helping preserve out culture
I cannot empathize how grateful I am for this! My daughter, who is 5, says, "Mochakerim aghaye Ferdowsi," every time we read this! This book has captured her imagination while teaching her about Iranian culture and literature. She loves Rakhsh and of course is curious about all the characters- what a great way to engage children who are not born in Iran

A Great Book for Boys and Girls, Persian or Not!
I bought this for my nieces and nephews. This is a great book with a beautiful artwork taking inspiration from and directly show casing artifacts of ancient Persia how long tales from the Shahnameh. Furthermore, it shows Rostam's heroic journey in a way that would excite and make any child feel a proud association. There's plenty of exposure to Western mythos through ancient Greece and Rome, but it is wonderful to see the true, Pre-Islamic Persian culture shown in a way that isn't just a heavy textbook for a child.I can say first hand that I would have loved to have had this myself when I was little and absolutely recommend it to anyone whether you have children or wish to appreciate the artwork.

A must have series...
Awesome new children version of Shah-nameh ("The Book of the Kings") by Ferdowsi, an Iranian poet from about 1100 years ago. Definitely recommend it for all young ones curious about Iranian stories. Looking forward to seeing more stories of Shah-nameh from Arsia Rozegar

Engaging read for the kids
My sons (6 and 9) both absolutely loved this book and the two previous ones in the series. I knew Shahnameh (the book of kings) would intrigue them and was on the lookout for an English version for kids. I did not expect my kids however to be so fascinated by the tales. They are now waiting for the next book to find out if Sohraub will reunite with his father. Great work that simplifies the sometimes complicated poems of Shahnameh while staying loyal to the storyline, also very nice illustrations and high quality print.

Great!
This is the only english kids version of the Book of Kings (shahnameh) out there. This book is so special and my daughters love when I read it and they enjoy looking at the illustrations by themselves. The stories are edited to be appropriate for children. Overall the mythical creators are perfect for a child’s imagination. It’s so wonderful to be able to share these adventures with my girls.
