No more stubbed broken toes.
With 2 small dogs, we have steps or stools to make getting onto our beds easier on their knees. My husband has a proclivity for breaking toes on things that are directly in his line of vision (especially things that are always in the same place, like a dog stair, bench or footstool). This dog stairs is sturdy enough for our pups to get on and off the bed safely, and the cost savings in x-rays for my husbands toes alone is worth it. The fabric is perfect, it matches the upholstered bedding perfectly.

Great product
Although it took a minute for my two old and frail cats to understand what this was for, once they did, they began using it all the time. Just the other day, one cat tried to jump on the bed and pathetically slid down the edge because he couldn’t jump that high anymore. He just picked himself up off the floor, went around the side of the bed, and took the stairs. Easy peasy way for a cat to keep his dignity intact.Overall, it’s pretty sturdy, decent color (true gray), the material doesn’t get dirty or trap cat fur, and it has held its shape over time. I have hardwood floors, so it can slip a little if it’s not propped up against the furniture, but I think it would be pretty grippy on carpet or a rug. Would buy again (except, mine came with two, which I wasn’t expecting, so I already have a spare.)

Finally, Pet Stairs for Modern Decor!
With so many tacky alternatives, I was thrilled to discover these modern pet stairs. The slope is easy to ascend/descend to minimize joint impact for my pup and doesn't take up the space (or cause as many shin bruises) of ramps. The super firm foam inside holds its shape and doesn't have that pungent chemical odor like some other products. The linen-like patterned fabric hides everyday dirt and the zippered cover can be easily removed for more thorough washing. Only con is the bottom fabric does slide a bit on hardwood floors. HIGHLY recommend.

Slips on tile floor.
Everything about the stairs is great. The one big negative is the fact that it doesn't have a very good non-slip traction mat on the bottom. When the dog climbs the stairs, they slip out from under her, freaking her out. Makes them just about useless.I'll be looking into some sort of non-slip mat that I can sew onto the bottom I guess.... sigh.

Excellent solution
I bought a wood 2 step stool trying to save money but my puppy never used it and chewed the corners. $29 down the drain. This step is perfect for my dog to reach the sofa, is sturdy and months later looks just like the day I bought it. When he’s running from the sofa to play fetch, he easily maneuvers the stairs. I would recommend placing a little mat or something under it to keep it from sliding around. It doesn’t slide except when he’s running down them super fast. I would definitely recommend this product and it’s a lot cheaper than those I’ve seen in the big box stores.

Love these stairs!
We just received these stairs for our mini dachshund this week and both my husband and I were impressed with the quality and durability of them. We've had a plastic frame w/ cover stair for 9 years and finally needed an upgrade (wish we had found these sooner). The only downside is that we have hardwood floors and the zipper is on the bottom, not on the back of the stair like I thought, so I had to wrap the zipper pulls in layers of masking tape to prevent them from scratching the floor until I can figure out a more permanent solution like felt or something. I will still likely buy another couple sets!

Great for access for small and older dogs
These steps almost match my couch and the height of it and are very inconspicuous. My dogs, who are small, as well as old and shouldn’t be jumping, use them all the time. Even my large dog likes to use them instead of jumping off the couch.

Steps too short in depth
I wish I had returned this item. It's too wobbaly for my dog to go up especially with his hurt leg. The steps are not deep enough. I have no idea what to do with it now but sale it in a garage sale for a quarter of the price of which I paid for it.
