Very bright light!
I was worried if I would like this light or not due to the length the light extends from your head. Initially I wanted one that was more flat against the head, like the energizer lights. The reason I chose the Pathfinder is because it zooms and has a dim mode. The one feature it doesn't have that I would have liked is a red light, however I didn't feel that was worth deducting a star because I knew it didn't have the red light. The product is well made and wears very securely on the head. It is so comfortable that I sometimes forget I am even wearing it. The button is easy to find on top and there are only three modes so it is usually only a matter of clicking once to turn off for me because I primarily use dim mode. The bright mode is very bright and lights up a very large area. The dim mode is dimmer by about 50% but lights up just as large of an area. When I say very large I mean VERY large. I keep it zoomed out for a larger area but sometimes zoom it in for close up work but it really isn't necessary usually. The two strap feature is also nice to have. I was hesitant about having the top strap but then remembered my old energizer having one strap would often slide down on my forehead. That is not the case with this light. I didn't have to adjust it at all so can speak to how large or small it fits but I'm sure it would fit most anyone. Overall for $20.00 I think it was money well spent and I would likely replace it with the same model if lost. One more thing, the batteries are doing good. I believe I have been using it for two full weeks at work and it still shines full brightness. I probably use it for 1 to 2 hours a night, but only for 5 to 10 minute intervals.

Pleased with second produce from CREE
I have not used this product in a work our outside activity yet but I'm pleased with what I see on inspection. The light output is good and should be sufficient for most uses and the quality seems to be good. You can zoom the focus of the light in and out which I did not see in the advertisement but could be a handy feature. I have another of the CREE products and have been very pleased with it. From that experience I anticipate being pleased with this one from my initial inspection and testing.

You get what you pay for!
It works as advertised but you can tell that this is one cheaply made product. You are not getting any great deal. For $20, you get what you pay for. Shines a light? Yes.Mounts on your head? Yes.Durable? NO.Good quality? Oh god NO. Looks and feels pretty cheap and flimsy.200 lumens? No where close.Efficiency? Eats away batteries like a hungry hippo.I bought this as I have just started to do some night time photography and I needed something hands free. If you are planning to use it for long term, look for a better one. This won't last long.

I have 2 complaints.
Great light with excellent brightness. I have 2 complaints. First, I had to apply electrical tape around the lens tube because the light shines down into your eyes while wearing. Second, the zoom tube that narrows and expand the light beam is too loose.

Needs Improvement
I have several 'head lights', but I bought this one for the zoom feature which changes beam width from narrow to wide angle. That feature works, sort of. Beam width is changed by sliding a tube over the light, in and out. This action works but the tube is loose and can't be tightened so it just slides around. I put some electricians tape under the tube which stops the sliding, but the sloppy fit and no means of tightening it is pretty slipshod design-wise..

Great option for head lamp for computer work.
Love'em. One word that tells you I'm glad I bought this product. I've owned a few cheap headlamps that I've picked up at the store, they were all OK and kinda worked but would fall part, break or just generally not be as bright as I wanted them. I did a ton of research and had to go with night jogger reviews. Sure there are super expensive ones and some that claim to be rechargeable that tend to be heavier and have wired battery packs that I just wasn't feeling. I ran these for for hours straight right out of the box with fresh batteries and no issues. I love'em so much I bought a pair for my mother who kept having the same issues with the cheap headlamps like me and she loves them too! The adjustable focus on the light is also great! I would buy these again and suggest them to my friends.

High Quality, Good Price.
I have been in the electronics business all my adult like, and have seen many different vendors of parts and their various qualities. When I saw that this product uses the CREE led, no further sales pitch was necessary. Among a busload of led makers, CREE pioneered the high power led and still leads the pack...it's the Rolls-Royce of leds. I have a small pocket flashlight, I believe made from this same part. It is about the size of a pack of life savers- I call it my "Holy Sh*t" flashlight because everyone is stunned by how much light it produces. Same deal with this headlight. Seriously, don't look into the end of this thing, or let children do so. I'm kind of surprised that the company didn't include the SOS function in the led driver, but for $20 I'll let that go. For those griping about it not coming with batteries, it is much better to know you have fresh batteries...you never know how long something has been on the shelf.

Great light for the price
I’ve ised a bunch of different head lamps for hunting, running and cycling but this one was the best I found for the price. I couldn’t believe how bright it was for the price and how long the battery lasted. I use all the different functions and love the capabilities it has. I would defiantly recommend this light.
