Not for iPhone. Works great on my HP Notebook. Won't "break-the-bank"
Note that this item is not compatible with iPhone, as well as some androids.I use this with my HP notebook. I had to first download the software through “Dropbox” (which is very basic) and it worked instantly. As this is really just a camera, I’m sure you can use it with other software. Because I haven’t used one of these before, it certainly takes some practice. But overall, I’m quite happy with the results. I really have only “basic needs” for this item, so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on something with more “bells-and-whistles”. This one works just fine for my needs. It connects via USB. . . .and there is a USB-C adapter included. I used the USB-C adapter on my notebook, and though I think it’s a bit loose, it works fine. The cable is semi-rigid. That’s nice if there is a curve where you need to place it. But if you’re using it in a place that’s more-or-less straight. . . . then you might do as I have done and attach it with some Velcro to a “handle”. For example, a mop handle works for my needs. But you could use something like a selfie stick, extendable pole and so on.

It works
Used with a Samsung Galaxy I had no problems, just plugged it in and it worked. (I did download the app but I don't think it was actually needed). The LED lights are a must and worked very well. Workmanship is very good. The focal length of the camera is very short however. It focuses well on objects less than 1 inch away. I give it a three stars instead of 4 because the pictures on the listing are misleading based on my experience. (I used this to find out where a heating duct in my house got disconnected inside the wall. Once I got the camera to where the duct was disconnected I couldn't see anything but white well-lit static image)

Practically worthless
First of all, this did not work with my OTG enabled Android phone, which was the whole point. I did get it to work with my Mac using Photobooth and on Linux using Cheese. However, the image quality is quite grainy and poor. More importantly, the dynamic range of the sensor is so limited that in dark, enclosed spaces (just where you want to look with the borescope) the image is either washed out white from the LED's or completely black. Adjusting the LED intensity didn't help one bit. I couldn't see anything of value in my dark, enclosed space, not even the walls. Useless.

Pretty Dang Good
Easy to use, pretty good, rigid cable, picture quality and lighting is all good. Only downside is that there's no way of determining orientation of the picture vs. the cable.Example - I used this to get something that had been dropped into a wall. I pushed the camera in and lowered it down. First problem was then trying to move the camera so that I could see what I needed to. In open spaces like the interior of a wall, it's a bit difficult, but not insurmountable.Second problem appeared as I lowered down a wire hanger to hook what I needed (I figured having an unmoving camera would be more helpful than trying to grab it with the same thing I was using to see it, since that would have meant my whole view was moving even as I tried to perform fine-tuned movements). Because the picture and cable are round, I had no way of knowing what is "up/left/right/down" in terms of what I was seeing on the screen vs. trying to move the wire around. So then I had to move the wire around to figure out the orientation--in this case "up" on the screen ended up being to the right.I ended up being able to get the thing out of the wall, which saved me a passel of money, and was worth the hiccups on the way. I also know what I'm getting my dad for Father's Day, so that's handy too.100% worth it, just be aware of the shortcomings and plan accordingly.

Borescope works fantastic, 4" focal point
The Borescope I use in a dry environment at a fixed placement to check measurements during 1 stage of a process. It has USB/MicroUSB and C type connections so it'll work on pretty much everything. I use it on a tablet mounted near the operation. The adjustable lighting helps tremendously with a clear viewable image. The camera is vibration resistant so as long as what you're viewing holds still, vibration will not harm the camera.

Follow instructions
My most valued like in this Borescope is how flexible it is. I also like the Multiple hook ups with also the easy to understand instructions. It is very handy for those hard to see spots where the flashlight barely reaches to fix almost any around you could think of. I used it for behind my sink and my problem was easily seen and fixed! I would recommend to others!
