This thing is genius
Absolute brilliance. Nothing more to say. If you want to mic your amp, this is what you need.

Mic it up!
This hook sits perfectly under the handle of the amp (both my Egnater and Hot Rod Deluxe) to create a stable mic holder. Then the pole can easily be adjusted for a SM57 or what I use a flat Sennheiser e609. This is perfect to not have another mic stand on the floor to trip over. It’s amazing!

Works perfect.
This is exactly what I needed to Mic a guitar cabinet that does not have a direct out very sturdy design. I use a shire sm57 to mic the cab.

Simple, functional, and innovative mic holder!
I tested this in a couple of amp handles and it's plenty secure for gigging.Let's start with the padded hook. The foam is thick but soft, won't scrape or scratch your favorite amp with this. Looping it through the hook on a combo, you wouldn't want to bang the amp around and expect the mic not to move a little, but you probably don't want to bang your tube combo around while it's on anyway. But it's plenty secure. My use is with a head and 2 cabs, between the cabs. The hook itself is very securely held in place in my use, but if your cab's "feet" aren't as tall as mine, you could have some issues. The foam on the hook does compress, but it's tough stuff so it doesn't just flatten out like a pancake.Next the adjustment. It's pretty good. For my purposes, I just need it to go straight up, angling toward the grille cloth as I am using it with a side-address mic. It tends to want to go just a little off 90 degrees but if you aren't too picky about the thing being "just exactly straight" you can surely get it pointed at the speaker in the right spot and sounding as good as you could with any mic stand.Overall, I give it a 4/5 because there are a few minor QC issues. I bought two of these. On one, the block that grabs the sliding mic rod had a lot of flash at the joint, and no matter how tight I tightened it, it wouldn't clamp down on the rod securely. A few minutes with a piece of sandpaper took care of that. On the other one, the threaded mic adapter was cross-threaded on, or at least, it's slightly crooked. I would assume these are installed by a machine as I could in no way get either of mine to come off the rod (even the one that was NOT cross threaded). Anyway, I was able to fix that with a couple of careful love-taps from a big hammer. So overall 4/5 great innovative design and very functional, 1 star knocked off for needing sandpaper and a big hammer.

Perfect Solution
As others have said, this mic holder is sturdy, unobtrusive, and saves precious floor space in front of my amp. If it came with a mic holder I'd give it 51/2 stars.

Move the amp and the mic placement doesn't change
I don't have a lot of floor space for a mic stand. This seemed a great solution. I had to move the amp recently and I loved the mic placement didn't change a bit since its attached to the amp. Leaves no marks on the amp and doesn't vibrate when you turn the amp up.
