Natural Raffia Long-Stranded Fiber for Arts and Crafts - Large 6 Oz Bunch

Very dry.Not what I expected.

Exactly what I was looking for to use with some cat toys I crafted together. I have some cats who were brought in from living in the woods and they hate all the synthetic indoor cat stuff. They want real feathers and grasses to run after and claw at So a few pieces of this tied to the end of pole toy with big feathers and the cats do backflips trying to attack! Sometimes I just drag it around with me and I get dive bombed and hunted through the house. I hope you have as much fun trying it out yourself after reading this ;)

I bought this to use to make pine needle baskets which involves pulling the rafia similar to "sewing". This raffia is too soft for this. After a few pulls, it starts getting softer until it splits into nothing. I tried cutting the strands in half and that worked a little better, but it is too hard to use. I can still use it to make bows or something else. I have used non online sources for rafia before with no problems. I thought I would try ordering online. Not again anytime soon.

This is thicker and sturdier than typical natural raffia. The strands are very long!
