Bought this because its Vegan and the notch/locking system
I saw this product on Shark Tank years ago and after going vegan (I didnt want to wear or use or eat animal products watch What The Health or Dominion on Netflix)So, i wanted a non-leather belt and after gaining some muscle/weight in the last 4-5 years. Also, like most people, after eating you get kind of bloated and knowing the belt had the option to non-nonchalantly "loosen" the belt but making it looser on one the tabs/notches i knew i had to have it!Looks styling, works great, it is vegan and i highly recommend it with no cons!** Please click helpful to help share this review with others as it will motivate me to come back and provide future updatesThanks, fellow reviewer

Decent belt and great customer service from Misson Belt
This belt is exacatly what I've been looking for and well worth the money. I'm planning to get to get a few more in the next few months and I highly recommend trying it out.The biggest "pro" is the fact I now rarely have to adjust the belt or my pants. Once you find the spot you're good with they stay where there suppose to stay. The only "con" is getting used to the latch system and how to loosen the belt but once you're used to it though it's not a thing at all.Update: I still use this belt as an everyday belt, I still love it and wear it all the time but the construction of the strap is now in question. After wearing it for a couple of months some strings from the stitching is coming lose and I'm constantly clipping them away. It calls in question of the quality of there canvas belt and makes me hesitant to buy another belt from them due to its price point. I dropped the rating from a 5 star to 3. If I was not wearing it all the time it would be a one star.Update 2: Emailed Mission (on a Saturday) and got a very fast response about the issue and will be sending a replacement. Customer Service is top notch and adjusted my review once again to reflect my experience.

Not 1 1/2" wide as advertised: Mine is 1 3/8" Overall just OK because of the buckle design.
I discovered ratchet belts in February (of 18), and have bought about 10 from different manufacturers. I was reluctant to buy a Mission belt because their price was higher and I prefer the open buckle look. However, I really wanted to try a canvass style and they were about it in my size. I prefer a 35mm wide belt (1 3/8"). On their own site and here on Amazon they say they are 1 1/2". Not so. Mine is 1 3/8". So I lucked out and got the width I wanted, but that's false advertising. The belt itself looks very sharp. It almost does not look like canvass because the weave is so small and tight. This particular color, Midnight Blue, looks like a medium dark denim. Compared to my bluejeans however, it is more of blue gray. Definately not navy blue. It has little hints of white in the weave like denim. It is fabric on both sides and nicely tailored looking and not too thick like other wider belts are. It's a good looking belt but doesn't go particularly well with my blue jeans. The color isn't in the same family and it looks funny to me. But it matches well with my navy blue slacks and shorts and I think it will look good with some lighter pants as well.I have one 1 1/2" leather blue jean ratchet belt and a couple leather 1 /3/8" dress belts. These styles of solid buckles can be heavy, and combined with a thick leather belt the whole thing can weigh you down a bit. This belt is much lighter feeling, but the buckle is solid and heavy. It makes a real loud clanking sound when it hits the floor when you're sitting on the commode :)I do have a bone to pick with Mission though. The release for their buckle is a little lever on the side and at least mine is very stiff and a bit difficult to get to release. It just doesn't have a smooth, easy release like it should. Maybe it will loosen up with time, but it seems to me to be a bad design. Every other style ratchet belt I own opens smoothly and easily. The open buckle designs are the best in my opinion. They make the overall buckle much lighter, they look like "regular" belts, and the opening mechanism is much easier and more natural. Plus, you can hang them on your existing belt rack. So Mission, get to work on your buckles!Overall this particular color is just okay for me, however in weighing the pros and cons and because it is actually a 35mm wide belt, I may buy another one in black. I want to wait and see how this one preforms over a month or two before I make that decision though. The buckle thing bugs me.

These belts are great and I now have 3!
This is now my third Mission belt I own. I got this to replace my casual jeans belt. I really like the buckle on this one and the canvas belt part feels really high quality. I love these belts because no matter how much weight I gain or lose, they always tighten correctly. I do buy a size larger and then cut it down to fit just to make sure I have extra length if I need it. I even bought one for my father and he loves it.These are inexpensive enough to try different versions which I like also. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Great belt and design
I was a little skeptical when buying this but I was had enough with leather belts which wore down, split, or where the holes had become too worn in a short amount of time. I'm happy to say that after using this a few times I'm pleased with the track design and with the quality of the canvas. It goes well with both jeans as well as with slacks so it is suitable for daily use.

I wanted a canvas belt look, and this brand offered that
I've become quite the convert to ratchet belts like this. I wanted one that would look a little more casual, more of a canvas material look. But because of how belts like this are made, that strip that holds the belt in place needs to be placed in a sturdy material, so everything was leather. These looked like canvas, and worked well for a more casual look with jeans, for example, or shorts. My only complaint would be that the price, in general, was higher than leather belts that I have liked just as well, but in this case I paid the premium for the look I wanted.

Great, great item
This is the third ratchet belt I have ordered from this company. They are fantastic. They look great, the quality really is superb. Might cost $5 or $10 more than a belt at Macy's, but it is worth every bit of it. Super comfortable because you select the size. I got tired of wearing out buckle-holes or needing different belts when between sizes. Along with the black leather and tan leather and now canvas, I will be ordering a nylon belt from the company next time. GREAT product.
