Houseoftoners Remanufactured Ink Cartridge Replacement for HP 74XL (Black, 4-Pack)

Though labeled as XL , these carts are reading as only partly filled -as they came straight out of the box. Nice that they didn't throw me the "Not correct " or "not properly installed " gag , but I now wonder if they are really as full as I would expect. I usually refill my own,but no cart lasts over a year, so re Mfr's (if they will refill the same as OEM) are the most economical way I can fly. I hope the " Fresh but Low " readout is just a consequence of re-manufacturing..and these will refill at least a couple of times and hold at least as much as a non XL tank does.. Colors and Black density seem ok so far on plain paper, but wonder about now well I print on HQ paper or Disk Labels.

I've used remanufactured cartridges before, and they work fine. After installing, if you get a message that says "Not HP ink", just ignore it: Press "Bypass" or "OK" on your printer. Then printer might not show ink levels, so when colors start to fade, time to replace ink. Also with this last batch, it seemed like I went thru one color cartridge rather quickly, but I did a lot of printing over the holidays, so I guess that's not unusual.

Worked well for our HP Officejet J5780. We used one color cartridge ink for printing over 24 pages of 8x11 color photos, before running out of ink. We printed about 15 more pages with the next color cartridge which also worked fine, with ink still left. The B&W cartridge is still printing fine, without replacing yet. Fast shipping. Would recommend.

I ordered these in January 2016. I used the first black ink cartridge right away. This week, April 2017, I finally decided that I had to use the first color ink cartridge. The cartridge was packaged in a sealed plastic bag, with a plastic clip protecting the printhead. My printer saw the cartridge and printed the alignment sheet. The alignment failed and the printer no longer saw the cartridge. So I used the second color cartridge and it passed the alignment.So I guess that two good black cartridges, one good color, and a dud, is still a good deal. But what if the second black cartridge is a dud too??? One good black and one good color would still be much cheaper than new. I don't want to open the second black cartridge until I need it.Attached are scans of the good and bad alignment pages.

I've felt with HouseOfToner before. There very reliable, the product is up to par, and if there's a problem, there ready to satisfy. Haven't been let down since first tried them out. Thank you HouseOfToner.

So far so good, I've had trouble with remanufactured cartridges because they tend to fail before the ink is even half used. This is most noticeable if I turn the printer off and back on. The computer just doesn't recognize the cartridge and I have had to replace them. However these are certainly a great value if they work for even half the expected number of pages.

First time using non-HP and has worked as expected. Their warnings that "low ink" and "not genuine HP cartridge" messages will appear are correct. Not an issue. I thought my printer was completely f'd up, but once I replaced the color (black is a new HP) it printed fine. As my printer can print directly onto a CD they come out perfect and with no print head marks! I am SO relieved!Great product, great price, they come individually in airtight bags. I store them inside a large glass jar with a good sealing lid.Will re-post if issues occur down the road!
