AFX FX-39 Unisex-Adult Full-Face-Helmet-Style Dual Sport Helmet

I really wanted to get a dual sport helmet and I really liked the Icon Variant but the Icon one was $400. This was a great alternative to the Icon as it was way cheaper and had the same looks. It looks very cool and with a tinted visor it makes it look even better. I was worried it was going to pick up some wind on the highways but it does not. Very well made, lightweight (at least less than my old one), and fits great. Its very breathable and the field of vision is great. I also really like the quick release strap.The only complaint I have is that its quite loud inside. You can hear a lot and after 40min ride on the freeway, my ears were ringing after. I recommend using headphones or earplugs.Also on the tinted visor the piece that sticks out for you to pull it up and down started to have the tint chip off of it in the first few minutes. I'm hoping that the rest of the tinted visor won't chip either.Overall I think it is a great helmet for the money and I am very satisfied with it.

When it came it felt tight, but on the road it feels great. I appreciate the ventilation. The face shield is good quality. I have used it for 2 months now. This is a pretty decent helmet for the money, but after wearing it a few times, I've come to the conclusion that it's designed for people with round heads. My head shape is more of a "long oval" type and this helmet puts too much pressure on the front and rear of my head. Wearing the helmet for an extended period causes it to dig into my forehead and become very uncomfortable.My head measures in at 23", which puts me at a medium on the AFX sizing chart. I also tried a large and had the same problem with it feeling tight on the front and rear of my head, but had too little padding on the sides.I wish I could make this helmet work since I really like the styling and price. The ratchet strap is great and I'd like to see it become more common.I found that the Gmax dual sport helmet fits my head type much better.Pros:-Sleek and stylish-Ratchet Strap is much quicker than a traditional d-ring setup-Good venting and airflow-Easy to remove lining for washingCons:-Shield has very mild distortion.-Shield doesn't open far enough at full open position (remains within vision)-Doesn't have quite as much padding as other helmets I've tried

Awesome helmet, there are plenty of parts an after market accessories for this helmet, arrived pretty quick. best bang for the buck, the only downside is, a little more wind/road noise then a high dollar helmet, but the price is right. I would suggest the chin guard, keeps some wind out. over all best bang for your $$$

Comphy, snug fit. Great design and look/feel. Lens creates a little visual distortion. The number and placement of vents is great, however, they're cheaply made (In my opinion) as one of mine has already broke after just a couple uses. The noise is a bit much at speed as well. Overall, you can't beat this helmet for the money. I would buy it all over again for the $$.

I use this for my 4 wheeler in real dusty areas, and for my naked street fighter when not riding real agressive. Its a good helmet but noisey for high speeds and not really that solid. But for the price its good for what it is. I wouldnt recommend for a only helment for a street bike.

Purchased this based off of a youtube video of inexpensive but safe motorcycle equip. It fits and seems to be doing well so far after a few rides.

Sometimes you get more than what you pay for, while the fit and finish is not like a $500 helmet, it's still a lot of helmet for the price. I did add a mirrored visor, but that was. my preference the clear one worked fine.
