Mediocre idiyappam maker
Wanted to buy a idiyappam maker and found this online. Made good idiyappams with this. Only drawback if u put too much dough the lid comes off easily.

Flimsy and poorly finished holes
Very flimsy and the casts have holes that are not properly cut so what ever you squeeze out of them is not going to be in the shape you expect them to be. We tried the ribbon cast and the ribbon came ripped in multiple places :) We still managed to make use of it.

Does the job
I bought this last week to prepare some traditional food called Jhilinga. I was not sure if this will do the job but it’s the best one. Easy to use , easy to clean and works well. Make sure to use oil before using to lessen the stickiness. Love this

Easy to use, durable
I have been looking for this utility for a while to make a traditional dish. Despite the mixed reviews, decided to give it a shot. I followed below tips that made this an easy to use and get the desired outcome to make "sevai"(string hopper)1) Prior to first time use,I washed all the parts nicely with dish soap and warm-hot water(used gloves since the parts were brass and mildly sharp edges). This also removed any grey or black powdery coating on brass surface.2) air dry all the parts3) grease the inside of the container, the mould and flat bottom of the roller with oil - this greatly helped with moving the roller easily and the dough, to make fine shaped sev4) when rolling down to make sev, held firm on the body of the sevai maker - to avoid pinching or sharp edge.

Cracked on first use
Unfortunately the top cracked when we used it the first time. Not study. Reached out to the manufacturers as instructed. No response. I wasted my $$
