I like that it has more buttons than other recorders in this price range and that it has the red dot when it’s recording along with the digital display. However even if you turn the feature off to only record when sound it present it still only records when sound is present. And the sound recording quality is inferior to that of say my iPhone. There are missed words and some digital irregularities in the voice recording. Although it looks great and feels great and has a great price I would not recommend this recorder.

The device I received did not match the description. The LED display is NOT clear and looks nothing like what is depicted. The direction manual is very difficult to understand and is not clear. The menu and play buttons stick when pushed. Functionality is confusing. If you need a reliable voice recorder for something important, this device should not be your chosen device! One more example of what you see on Amazon is very often NOT as pictured or described. It is getting more and more difficult to determine if reviews are accurate and reliable as I took the time to read some reviews on this device and a majority left me thinking I was going to purchase a decent product. I was wrong!

This recorder started off strong but quickly deteriorated. By the third use of this product, recordings became choppy and difficult to understand. By the fifth or sixth time, a 45 minute recording session was reduced to a mere seven minutes. Of course, these issues started happening right after the 30 day return period had expired. Would not recommend. You get what you pay for, and there is a reason this is so cheap.P.S. When I bought it, it had a number of reviews and was between 4-5 stars. Now, suddenly, the review count is very low, as is the rating. Do yourself a favor and avoid this shady product.

The sound quality isn't great and it stops and starts recording based on whether it hears anything. In theory this would save memory, but unfortunately it just misses over half of what is said during a lecture. I have played around with all of the functions and it does not appear that this "feature" can be turned off.

Horrible battery life....a complete waste of time

It was easy to set up to record lectures, but when I attempted to playback it wouldn't work. I tried to connect to my laptop, and it wouldn't work upon connection with USB. Disappointed. :(

I don't get it, before I got this product it had a five star rating I just checked and now has a one-star and horrible reviews I hope I didn't get a piece of crap!
