I bought this amplifier for my wife to wear while watching TV. It did not work that well, if at all. The reason I gave it 5 stars is because it works great for the spoken word. I think it must respond to the timbre in someones voice rather than the smooth sound coming from the TV. It treats the TV and other sounds as ambient while somebody's voice is clear as a bell. I tried it myself. It was only my own misunderstanding that made me think it would work for the TV.The one complaint that I do have about it is the ear splitting squeal that comes out of it if you put your hands near it or on it to adjust anything while it is on your ear. Rather than return it I will keep it in a drawer just in case it might be needed in the future.

Innovator delivers what they advertise: superior clear sound. It is remarkable because extraneous sounds are dramatically reduced. I would highly recommend this product. The other day I wore it to my doctor's appointment & it performed just great. For an additional $25 you get so much better hearing. It took me a while to figure out the placement of the BTE section, but have figured it out & while I thought it was Innovator's problem I find that the problem was ME! Am enjoying the best hearing in years!

Came very quickly. It does what it says it does. I lost my very expensive hearing aid and researched this one. It does block out background noises which need. I purchased their lower end amplifier which was ok, but did not block out background noise, and this one is much better. . For the money it is a good amplifier. For my needs it works very well.. I would buy from this company again!..Another benifit is it uses the same battery of the one I lost.

It is unusable. It squeals very loudly constantly even when turned down to minimum.

They didn't fit, the tubing was to short.

We purchased this amplifier for my 91 year old mother. I tried it out before I sent it to her and I thought the sound was very good, especially in a one on one or small group situation. Mother has been very happy with it so far, her only complaint is that perhaps the tube running from the amplifier to the ear piece needs to be longer. She has a difficult time getting it situated over her ear (with her glasses) and into her ear. She has only used it for a few days, so we need to give her time to adjust to it, but she felt it was going to be very helpful. The delivery was very prompt and the packaging was complete. We are pleased with this product.
