It was a gift for a grandson so I did not open it but believe it came with the driver. He is obsessed with construction vehicles and especially forklifts and loved that he could make the pallet go up and down

Q: Where do batteries go?

I don’t think it uses batteries. I got for grandson and I think it is hand operated to lift the pallet

Q: How do you get sounds and lights to work?

You should check the pull tab over the battery.
