Rear Drum Bearing Kit for General Electric, AP2619300, PS267529, WE25M40

Unless you have 5 foot long arms, it takes 2 people to install. Think about it, you have to reach into the bottom of the drum, and around behind it at the same time, to install screws. But, I gotter done!

This kit was definitely not OEM, very poorly made. There are four parts that were sub-standard or missing. First, the bearing (white piece in the picture) was smaller than the original so it's likely to wear out prematurely. It will work, just don't know how long it will last. Second, the bearing slips onto the spindle (black piece) and is kept on by a retainer which was NOT included in the kit. The retainer is supposed to be re-used but it had become brittle and easily broke in pieces when trying to remove it. Third, the spindle is secured to a base (dome shaped piece with three mounting holes) made of material that was too thin. The retaining nut bottomed out against a square shoulder on the spindle before it was tight on the spindle base. The old base had to be re-used. And fourth, the bearing slides into the base plate (rectangular piece) mounted to the back of the dryer. This part was the same thickness as the spindle base and both parts should have threaded holes for the mounting screws. The spindle base had threaded holes but the base plate holes were not threaded. Installing the screws in this part was.... challenging.My advice: spend the money on OEM parts or just buy an OEM bearing (GE #WE3X75).

This kit does have everything you need to replace the Drum bearing only problem being the mounting plate doesn't have threaded holes. This combined with the cheap metal screws provided makes holding the bracket in place while drilling the screws in unnecessarily difficult.If I had it to do again I would buy the OEM Parts. -C-

the parts worked perfectly, you do have to know how the dryer comes apart since the instructions are of no use

Fixed my squeaking problem and the fact that clothes were able to be caught in the gap.

Did not come with the white bearing surface for the dryer. I had to reinstall the old one, which was shot and then take apart the dryer again when the part came in.Not a huge deal, but I wish advertisements were more straight up. It still is worth purchasing without the bearing, but just do you can have all the parts on hand when you tear apart an appliance.

I would of gave a zero star if possible.... It didn't come with all the parts as it was missing bearing keeper and o-rings to install. I ended up not only buying this part but had to buy an original GE rear bearing kit 2 weeks later because this one failed.... Save your money just buy the original GE bearing kit that way you know you have all the parts and won't have to do job twice because the plastic bearing part breaks apart and the through shaft doesn't pull through the cheap metal part that mounts on backend of tumbler causing the backend of the tumbler to rub and grind as it spins. Its very annoying!
