In a city like Portland, Oregon, where there are quite literally hundreds of people playing heavy music - and playing it well, at that - it takes a bold, tightly-honed punch to the crowd's ears in order to stand out. Formed in the winter of 2009 and armed with a full stack of Orange cabs, a lifetime of experience and enough classical training to out-riff any band that dares stand in their SG-wielding path, Sons of Huns have consistently blown crowds away. Peter Hughes (guitar), Shoki Tanabe (bass) and Ryan Northrop (drums) have headlined shows in anywhere from tiny bars to the main stages of Portland's biggest music festivals, and had the honor of opening for the likes of Red Fang, Andrew W.K., and Danava.

Excellent Debut Album
I don't know what I can say about this album, except that I can't stop listening to it. 70's Doom meets Space Rock with some touches of NWOBHM and you have a fine album here. It's not perfect, but I love it anyway. Very recommended to fans of Doom Metal/Stoner Rock. Look forward to hearing more from these Portlanders. Oh, and don't buy their first EP if you're a metal fan. I'm not sure what that was.

They rocked at Psycho de Mayo.
I saw Sons Of Huns at Psycho de Mayo this past May (2014), (I believe) they were the first band to come out, and they blew me away. For an opening act to start off the day, you couldn't ask for a better band. So I went out and bought there CD. If you like good stoner rock, damn this is a good rockin' CD. I highly recommend it.
