It was dirty when I opened it - like there was a sticker on the side previously. Obviously used.

U.S. Robotics V.92 (USR5686D) Modem 2007 Update
Most Internet Service Providers, today (2007), have V.92 digital support for this modem. Call your I.S.P. to find out if they provide V.92 connection capability, thus ensuring that this modem will work for your purpose. This is a very good hardware based modem from one of the best modem manufacturers in the world. :-)

USR makes great modems; this one is no exception...
Never had a problem with ANY US Robotics modem. Always a strong-man in the modem arena. A real modem (i.e., hardware; not a software "Win Modem").
