Decimal means ten in this case, all ten toes are independently separated from one another and free to move with the natural biomechanics of your foot. The Decimal also utilizes our patent pending Quad Post Lateral Stability system or QPLS. This technology employs four toe posts between five toes on each foot as internal foot controls. The QPLS system, in combination with five individual toe platforms, provides each foot five tactile surfaces for a near-barefoot ergonomic connection to the Earth. The Decimal is the ideal sandal for active people seeking revolutionary performance, freedom and comfort in an open heel sandal.

Amazing Sport Sandals
I've been a flip-flop guy my entire life and have tried them all. Everything from $2.99 "Locals" from the ABC Store in Hawaii to $100 plus leather ones from Olukai. I wear them to hike, on our boat, to ride my beach cruiser and to work - even for a night out on the town. I came across the Sazzi brand and had to give them a try...they just looked different and I was intrigued. I'm really glad I did. They are different - and they are pretty darn amazing. The have "toe-posts" between each toe and the upper strap that covers the foot is placed a bit more forward on the foot than a traditional flip-flop. The strap also has more of an athletic fit in that it's a little more snug than a traditional flop. These elements together seem to somehow lock you into the flip-flop. I've found them to be perfect for all of my outdoor activities where I don't want to wear a shoe and I don't want the sandal to come off...like when crossing a stream, for example. Regular flops can easily come off or turn up and over your foot in situations like that...at least they do for me.I have long been a sufferer of plantar fasciitis on both feet and I've found very little comfort from any footwear, but for some reason, these flops feel great underfoot and my symptoms seem to be improving. My Sazzis came with a tag attached that says they are made with PLUSfoam. I checked out the website for PLUSfoam and it's really cool stuff. 100% recyclable and they will take back anything made of PLUSfoam to be recycled and reused. It turns out, they have many companies like Sazzi that use their material...brands like Patagonia, Vans, TOMS, etc.In short, I'm a fan. They are very reasonably priced for such a robust sport sandal / flip-flop...and they are comfortable.

These are no ordinary Flip Flop
I really wanted to try these out when I saw the ads for them - and as promised, these are way better than regular flip flops! The extra toe posts work like magic to keep the sandals securely on my feet without having to grab the footbed with my toes - which is a huge help to my arches and feet overall. Eliminating all that strain allows my feet to really relax and align properly on the footbed - which further helps me feel a much more natural stride when walking or hiking with these sandals. They really work almost the same as a shoe - even better actually if you consider that they can get wet on a hike or at the beach and dry out instantly. The footbed has great support for my arches - which is standard to a little on the higher side, so that means a good arch built into these footbeds. They also have a very nice heal cup and overall contour that provides support and cushioning - with an incredible outsole tread design that seems to grip on everything. I was very excited to see another reviewer talk about these sandals being recyclable when I am done with them - and I went to the PLUSfoam website to check it out, and it looks legit - I'll use this service for sure! I am overall very happy with this purchase and would recommend these sandals to anyone looking for a good sport or activity type of sandal that you want to use for any outdoor use - hike, walk, backpacking, canyons, fishing, boat, SUP, travel, and general around the town. They are amazing - and they look pretty cool and different as well. They are a more snug fit than a flip flop, and the Sazzi website says to wear them off and on for a while until your feet get used to having the extra toe posts and the active fit of the strap. The sandals also break in to take the shape of my foot after even just a few hours of wearing them around the house, and I recommend doing it that way to start out before heading out to the beach or on a hike. Once the initial break in is complete, I feel comfortable taking these things ANYWHERE!

Best flip-flops for narrow feet
I have narrow low-volume feet, so typical flip-flops don't stay secure for even relatively normal walking. The Decimal gets around this with a contoured footbed and four, rather than one, toe posts. Very comfortable (yes, the four toe posts are still comfortable) and very secure, yet still in a slip-on.The Decimal is the flip-flop variant of the Sazzi Digit Outdoor Hiking Sport Sandal, which I also own and wear. Because the Digit runs so large, I ordered down a full size on the Decimal. Which was the correct choice. Although in doing so, the Decimal is pretty tight on the strap. Time will tell if it loosens up. Despite going down a full size from my normal shoe size, while the main footbed fits well, the toe portions (which are shaped, just as with the Digit) do stick out much further than my toes. In my clutzy case, the toe protection is probably good for protection.Pros: They dry really quickly, the toe posts are not at all annoying and they are very secure.Cons: Odd sizing/shape, arch support is too aggressive (feels like a hard ball under my arch) and they take a bit more focus to slip on than single-toe-post flips. (Still slip-on, but sometimes I have to look to line up the toes with the posts.)So far these are my favorite flip-flops.=====================================Edit: Three months later, that over-aggressive arch support in the ball of the foot is still quite annoying. I knocked a star off for that.

These are great! Great fit and comfortable
These are great! Great fit and comfortable. I don't even notice the dividers between the toes. I used them all last summer without a problem. Very comfortable, no issues with extended wear. They will get a test in a couple of weeks when we go to Playa Del Carmen. The only issue I had, and the reason for one less star is the toe cut outs. I don't think they do much for performance and comfort they will catch long grasses and vegetation in between the "toe" slits if you are walking through an unkempt lawn, or field. They catch lake weeds if you wear them in the water as well. Not only will you be pulling grasses out from between the toes, sometimes the catch might even make you stumble.
