I dont know what other reviews are talking about.
I bought mine used off another person and had it for a few years now, It works great for me. Just keep the track lobbed with some WD40 or grease or oil and it works great. I am only 5'9 in height, but 260 pounds of power muscle and the machine works great for me.

Expensive piece of #$%^----- Worse gym equipment purchase I have ever made.
I feel obligated to advise fellow garage gym rats about this machine. Simply put, purchasing this leg press has been the worst mistake I have ever made thus far in my home gym. Stay away from this machine at all costs. For a little background information. Been spending the past year turning my garage into a gym. It's complete except for a couple pieces of equipment that I waited to get. One of those was a leg press machine. Like everyone else who has a garage gym, space is an issue. As such, a vertical leg press machine would not only save me space, but be a piece of equipment that I normally wouldn't have access to in my area.Shipping was done by freight and that by itself was fine, there were no issues. Though there were only two small boxes on the pallet, do not know why things could have been packaged smaller to ship out via UPS/Fed Ex, which would have been cheaper.Looking forward to the machine, I started putting it together the first night that it arrived. The directions are worse that that provided by Ikea. They take the time to label all the parts in the manual, but don't bother to label the individual pieces. This is critical because some of the pieces look the same but actually have some differences that you only notice upon the machine being put together. This then requires you to take apart the machine in order to correct it. Needless to say, it took two days to put it together.Parts provided to me are showing signs of rust. The handles provided to me are manufactured incorrectly. This means that that I have to move both handles to the left to release the carriage, to the right to lock it. This is not what is shown in Yukon's videos. I have spent over 29 years in gyms, and no machine should have this type of locking.I have olympic bumper plates and thought that with this machine, I wouldn't have to go and spend more money for other plates. I was wrong again, no olympic bumper plates fit on this machine. I tried mine from Fringesport, they wouldnt even slid on. Friends with plates from Rogue and Pendalay had the same issues. So now at this point, I know that the machine is not made to specifications. Never had an issue where olympic plates couldn't go on an olympic bar.I purchased the machine because, I wanted something with locking handles and be able to handle enough weight. I should have just gone with either the machine from York Barbells, or the cheaper leg presses from Powerline. Do not make my mistake and purchase this machine.I have an email out to the company and will revise once I hear back from them.

Good leg press
Vertical leg presses are dying breed nowadays which is sad because I find them far superior to 45 degree angle legpresseswhich need an ungodly amount of weight before you can gain mass. I found this unit to be reasonably well built. It does wobble a bit when sitting still but that does not affect the equipment in use. I put over 450 lbs on it and it does not budge. This piece of equipment has helped me take my leg exercises to another level. I love doing vertical legpresses and when they are used alongside squats and lunges, they can build a very large set of quads. In fact I love this machine so much that I'm feeling a big greedy and even contemplating on getting a commercial grade vertical leg press which can handle even more weight. Other than that I have no negative things to say about this vertical leg press. If you use it at least two times per week with progressive overload your quads will grow.

excellent for leg training
I bought the Yukon Leg Press machine because I did not want to squat everytime I trained legs..plus, I needed something that would ease the stress on my back...It took a few hours to assemble..but really liked it when I first started working out on it...You cannot put as much weight on it as you might think because the pressing is nearly vertical. so a lot of force is directed upward...I have about 260 kilos in my home gym ..and my goal is to leg press that much for a few reps. One thing about the leg press I must caution anyone who uses it , is you must always inspect the machine first before exercising to make sure it looks safe...and make necessary adjustments before exercising if needed...every few workouts , for some reason, the foot plate and attachments get a bit loose and shaft a bit..so ALWAYS inspect it at each workout to assure safety..overall, it is a very good product..and glad I got it for my home gym...not very many home gyms have a leg press machine.

Don't. Poor design and unsafe You will be disappointed.
I purchased this machine new from Yukon. It arrived quickly and was easy to assemble though one large piece was missing. I had to wait another week to try it out. This is an extremely poor design. I'm 6' tall but top lockouts are too high and the low lockouts are too low. One can't just turn the handles and put the weight down. When handles are at their stops, they miss the carriage entirely. You have to aim each handle as you lower the weights. Unsafe! The foot platform pivots a lot when "locked".This thing sucks. I wish I had not purchased it.

Awful
Bought this on Amazon through Pro Therapy Sales. I contacted the manufacturer because after I assembled it would not slide correctly. Got no response via phone and then emailed them a few days later. They did respond but basically said not their problem, contact the seller.... and since I got it off of Amazon it was probably used (it was not- brand new in the box from Yukon). Once I did get Pro Therapy to respond to me they contacted the factory to call me on a day promised. They did not and the seller had to contact me and Yukon again. A Yukon rep tried to help me with several ways to fix it but it never really worked. It does not function smoothly and at all what I expected. I wanted to return and they tried to send a replacement which I did not want. Still trying to get a refund. If you buy this product you will be sorry...the seller and the manufacturer need to learn what good customer service is. For the price and effort involved to assemble you would expect quality and good customer service.
