I am ordered good quality product but received another model. This item already purchased one year back, that was not working. Hence ordered better quality item.

It worked for a week and stopped working after that! The repair window is over so no return or refund. Very bad experience.

Me llegó antes de lo previsto, funciona perfectamente y cumple con todo lo prometido.Ya había leído comentarios de que este producto no mejora la calidad de video, justo como se especifica, y efectivamente, sin embargo lo compré para usar mi Nintendo 64 en una televisión de 55" que solo cuenta con HDMI y la calidad de vídeo fue muy aceptable (llenó mis expectativas), no noté ni la más mínima señal de "Lag" ni ningún defecto visual. (Utilicé un regulador básico de 5V - 500 mA)Lo recomiendo para utilizar equipos viejos en televisores digitales que solo cuentan con HDMI.

My son purchased this converter in order to stream PlayStation 1 games from his PlayStation 2 (it's backwards compatible) via his Elgato Game Capture HD capture card. The issue was that the Elgato only outputs video/audio to the TV via an HDMI cable, and newer TV's cannot handle a resolution lower than 480p when it's sent via an HDMI cable. Since PlayStation 2 games display in 480p when using a component video cable (or the special PS3 cable supplied with the Elgato Game Capture HD), they work fine when going directly from the PS2 to the Elgato to the TV. However, PlayStation 1 games (even when played on the PS2) are displayed in their native 240p resolution, so the video signal must be up-scaled prior to being sent to the Elgato if you want it to display properly on your TV. Hence, the purchase of THIS product!The final setup looks like this when streaming PlayStation 1 games on a PlayStation 2 with the Elgato capture card:[PlayStation 2] ---(RCA/Composite Video Cable)---> [GANA RCA to HDMI Converter] ---(HDMI Cable)---> [Elgato Game Capture HD] ---(HDMI Cable)---> [Television]There is also a USB cable going from the Elgato Game Capture HD to a computer, which is used for streaming.My son set this all up recently and has only logged about 2 hours on the converter so far, but from what he can tell, it works well; there are no noticeable delays in video or sound, and the picture looks clear on his twitch stream and on his TV. DISCLAIMER: It might be tough to notice any VERY MINOR blurring in the picture, as he is using the converter to stream PS1 games, which have old (read: bad) graphics, so a few pixels here or there wouldn't really make any noticeable difference. He didn't notice any difference in the picture when compared to plugging the RCA/Composite Video cable straight from the PS2 into the TV though.He recommends unplugging the converter from its power source when not in use, as it will continue to output a signal of just a blue screen when it's receiving power, but not receiving an input signal. Some other reviewers said that the unit can get pretty warm, so he figures it's best to leave it unplugged when not in use to prevent any potential issues from extended heat generation.Hopefully this review helps any gamers out there who are looking to stream some classic PlayStation 1 (or otherwise older, lower resolution) games.
