BPL comes back with a Bang, #Awesome, #Economical, #PerfectDeal
This is review after using for almost 15 days.why 4*:- Awesome build quality, looks tough but still manages to appear sleek design, and good work on hardware too. (BPL one of the memories since childhood doesn't disappoint).- Picture quality is decent, watching HD channels on this TV is a real treat. Awesome picture quality in this price range. you won't get 40 inch full HD of any reputed brand for this price. Tata Sky HD which is the best among all indian Dish TV providers broadcasts signal in 50HZ, so 60HZ for this TV is good enough to display vivid colors and comfortable resolution.- Sound is pretty good and also loud, but clearity is lesser (which i guess an issue with every slim LED), i haven't used any other brands so can't compare about sound. I connected my LG 4.1 home theatre with this TV (yes this has a 3.5 mm jack with it) and now it's complete dhinchak setup.- 2 HDMI ports (position is in the bottom so bit tidious to get there, but not an everyday thing so its fine), 2 USB is decent enough for regular usage. I'm using Tata sky on one, and amazon Fire stick on 2nd. Also an option of VGA input to connect to computers. Bingo.- The manual shows it supports no. of audio and video formats on USB, but i haven't tested any. will post soon about the same.- One big concern i do have is about SD (non HD) channels, the difference between quality is so huge that you might end up frustrating. But i'm not sure if such is the case with other LED TV brands or Dish TV providers as well.- Comes with default fixed mounting but i'm not using it.why not 5*:- The installation/mounting guy was pathetic, completely damaged my wall and still could balance the TV properly as it was getting tilt because of weak (moving) mounting stand. Well this is a personal experience.Go ahead guys, take it.. it's worth every penny. Always a better option than Micromax or Vu or Sanyo. Atleast you will get a trusted brand. My cousin had purchased LG 32" LED 2 years back, now it's panel got damaged so i think no point in going for costly brands, either ways technology outdates every year. so you can keep on trending. However i need to mention that amazon initially listed that this item is available for only prime customers at a particular price range, but later i found that it was having same price for regular customer on next day too. This is bad approach.

Please do not judge this by the pricetag! its a gem!
Well! BPL used to be one of the most trusted names in my family back in 90's. When I saw the launch of vivid in Amazon, I was really not sure whether it is the same company or just a rebranding stuff. However, BPL website convinced me that they are there, though focused towards medical equipments, good old BPL is still in the market with a slim line of consumer products. Now comes the Vivid as a television. Honestly speaking, it is my first HDR purchase, so I should not compare, i'd rather state the facts below:Pros:Truly wide angle display.Stunning colors.Good detailing of picture, some proprietary filters used by BPL- doing job very well!Truly awesome rendering even when connected via RCA to an SD Set-top-box.Handy options to adjust radiation levels as per eyes' comfort.A good number of wired connectivity options. RCA, VGA, HDMI, Coax, USB 2.0.Audio output option.Cons.-Sound! Sound!! Sound!!! and Sound!!!! uh! I really have no idea Why they have used such low-profile amplifiers and twitter-like speakers to this nice piece of product!! You will just feel it stabbing your ears with shrilling notes- completely ruining your HDR Movie experience! However, audio can always be routed to an external sound bar, and in this case, it is not a luxury.- No decoding of AAC or AAC+ audio, you'll need to convert your movie codecs sometimes to match it for the internal playerThis is a 10-days' usage review, hope this helps you to make a decision. I will detail this again, maybe after six months!

Review after 2 weeks of usage. Bought this on Amazon prime day sale for 12990 which I feel is a steal. Having researched so much on which LED Tv to buy after reviewing Reconnect and Micromax and other brands I have choosen this.Pros :Light weight tv - You will hardly need some help to lift the tv. I fixed the TV myself and did not call the service person to fix it.Picture quality - Crisp with HD channels and decent enough with normal channels. But games like football might not be great to watch because of the refresh rate.Brand quality - BPL is the master in making CRT TV's and now they have come back with LED TV.USB option - They have 2 USB slots and play most of the formats like MP4, MKV (with subtitles also as an option but not pleasing with the placement of subtitles but that can be managed )HDMI - 2 ports which gives space for normal D2H and a Chromecast or Apple TV or Amazon Firestick to make this smart TV ( personally I like this approach because having used Smart TVs earlier they can be pretty intensive on the mother board of the TV)Cons :Sound - Watching music channels with bass can definitely be not pleasing and you can clearly see some noise , its not a show stopper if you have external music systemRemote - The Remote looks a little cheap , I would not say too bad but yes its cheap. Also its IR and not RF remote so you need to point towards TV and switch on.Also you cant use the same remote for TV and D2H which might be supported on high end TVsAlso make sure you to make this deal even sweeter purchase extra warranty for about 1500 rupees and enjoy peace of mind for 3 years :)
