LOL - Don't Overpay for HDMI!!!!
Hey folks - I'm an electronics technician and network engineer!LOL... LOL... LOL... Don't OVERPAY FOR SOME PLASTIC AND METAL!!!HDMI cables simply transfer digital information from your DVD player to your TV/Receiver. It's essentially 1's and 0's directly processed by your TV/Receiver. It's not a an audio or high frequency signal that's succeptable to interference, crosstalk, or anything else.Your main concern is signal degradation due to distance. If the distance of your run surpasses the specifications for HDMI transmission, then you will simply need a device that amplifies/repeats the signal so that it reaches its destination (your recever) unchanged/degraded.3 ft and 6 ft cables are sufficient for most applications. If you want gold plating, then these cables are gold plated. Why gold plating? Gold plating prevents corrosion. Actually its been over-played by marketing. If your equipment is not in a damp place, or outdoors, then even if you don't have gold plating, your electronics may die before the cables corrode.Buy these cables and laugh just like I did. I initially bought a $39.95 Phillips cable from Wal-Mart cause that was the cheapest one I could find, but I still felt that I'd been taken! Then, I did some research and found this cable. I bought 3 - then took the overpriced Phillips HDMI cable back to Wal-Mart!!!Why 3 cables? - I'm waiting on a PS-3 and an AFFORDABLE, true HDMI switching receiver. Currently I'm using one cable directly from my Hi-Def Sony DVD Changer to my Samsung 50" DLP, and running optical audio from the DVD Changer to my Onkyo 7.1 system - Suhweet... (for now).P.S....For those of you that think that you must have Monster cables, go ahead. They're not bad - Just Overpriced!!! I used to work at Circuit City back in the day of commissioned sales people, so I know the profit margin on this stuff. I had to flex on a BestBuy associate a few years back because he kept insisting that I buy a power conditioner from "Monster Cable" for my big screen for $100.00, even after I'd already bought a (throw your money away) service plan!!!Hey - Get this cable, it's of high quality and it's Safe!!!

Great Value for HDMI Cable That Gets The Job Done
This is a quality product for a permanent installation. The cable is not very thick so it is not ideal for rental applications or for any job that is not going to remain in place for a long time. For a home or business application where you will connect it and leave it for a long time, it is perfect. Works great. Great Value.

Buy this cable if you're smart
I rarely write reviews, but in this case I felt compelled to try and prevent an unsuspecting public from being suckered by the marketing campaigns of products like Monster Cable, which is no better than this one but costs five times more.First let me say this cable works great. It appears to be substantially constructed, and gives a superb picture on my HDTV. There is absolutely no reason to spend any more money than this on an HDMI cable.People -- wake up! This is DIGITAL technology. The only thing that travels along this cable are 0's and 1's. There's no such thing as a good 0 or a bad 1. If the bits that go in one end come out the other, then no other cable, regardless of price, quality, or overengineered "features" that no one needs, can perform better. If you really, really, want to spend 75$ on an HDMI cable, here's my suggestion. Send me $50. I'll send you one of these cables. You'll save twenty bucks and get exactly what you wanted, which is an HDMI cable that works perfectly. As for the rest of the money, at least it will go to a good cause (me) instead of lining the pockets of a corporation that plays its customers for fools.

Great cable at a reasonable price
I recently purchased a Playstation 3, and wanted an HDMI cable to connect it to my hi-def television. In the pursuit of this goal, I learned an important lesson: Not all budget HDMI cables are created equal. I first tried a cable from a local electronics mega-store. It was about $12, as I recall, and it seemed OK at first, but after a short while the picture would become plagued by "snow". I could push or otherwise move the cable at the back of the PS3, but this would be, at best, a two or three minute resolution. Needless to say, that cable was returned. I was set to "bite the bullet" and spend (ye gads!) upwards of $70 or more on a cable, but I saw the reviews for this cable on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did, as it works flawlessly, so far. So, my advice to those shopping for HDMI cables is to grab this one. :) Or, if you've had a poor experience with another budget-priced cable, don't give up! This item proves there are some good ones out there.

Works, and does in fact have Audio Return
I purchased this cable to hook my desktop PC up to my Panasonic TV for gaming on a bigger screen. So far, it works great for that purpose, though I had to use the NVIDIA control panel to resize the desktop for the Panasonic display since it was zoomed in slightly in an annoying way. Doubt that is from the cable, but something to keep in mind. The main reason I wanted to go with HDMI is the audio return since my TV doesn't have any free inputs for audio other than ARC. I can thankfully confirm that this cable does in fact transmit audio along with video. I did not think it was working at first, but going into the playback device settings in Windows, I was able to set the TV as default and suddenly there was music!I haven't unplugged it many times so I can't comment on its durability, but it certainly functions fine for my purposes.
