Morihata Binchotan Activated Charcoal Facial Soap - Packaging May Vary

I had hopes the much touted detoxing effects of charcoal would help with acne issues, but I was disappointed. Actually, found it too drying for my skin like I find with any other average soap. However, it smells really, really wonderful to me. If it wasn't so expensive, I'd purchase again just for the scent! This soap is sold in Japan under a different name for much less, but I suppose the export/import expenses drive the cost up...?

Amazing!!! I read the reviews and some of them say it dries out face-- very, very TRUE. However, it does clean your face extremely well and if you have a regime that includes moisturizing then you will have no problems-- this will keep your skin balanced.Also, if you use it on your hands after applying to your face, it will indeed make them severally dry. Other reviewers has also stated it didn't last a long time. I use it everyday, sometimes even twice a day--after two months I still have about a half bar left. I wet my hands then rub my palms gently just to get a little of the soap and then place it back in the place box it came in, I then apply it to my face and let it sit for a minute or two before washing it off. I have at times applied it as a mask whereby leaving it on, including overnight and then rinsing my face in the morning.This soap is definitely worth a try even if you have dry skin, just start moisturizing after use and you'll enjoy all the benefits!!!I think I do an overnight mask tonight after writing this review. My face will thank me in the morning when it feels tight, youthful, healthy and glowing!!!!

My face feels clean, but not dry. the lather of this product is amazing after one week of use my skin seems clearer

I have dry sensitive skin, so I think this soap would work better on oilier skin. It's gorgeous soap but for this price, I wouldn't buy again.

Been using this for years. Super clean without drying skin. Love it.

Haven't seen any effects of using this soap as yet.

Works great, no longer have an oily face

I had to finish the soap until its gone prior to giving my verdict. I got so excited when I purchased this soap. I have searched online regarding Binchotan Charcoal, and been convinced immediately with the claims. Read most good than bad reviews, so why not try it. When my package came, I opened the box to my huge surprise. The soap was so small for the price , but still I was convince this is a miracle soap. The soap lasted ~ 3 weeks of use. I primarily used the soap for my face and towards the end I used it over body. Soooooooooooo disappointed with this product. I never saw any bit change in my skin . As it claims to moisturize, exfoliate and restore the skin, to improving texture and tone...nothing , not a single one despite its recommended daily use. Not worth to buy !

This soap is great and lasts forever. Doesn't dry out my face. I use it in conjunction with the face mask and what a difference to my complexion. Well worth the price.
