Vortex Optics Crossfire II Second Focal Plane, 1 - inch Tube Riflescopes
Excellent scope with fixed parallax at 100 yards. Clear lenses, nice, precise radicals. Absolutely worth of buying. How ever it doesn't work for me, reason being, I need it on my break barrel air gun rifle and all my targets are 30 - 50 yards. I'm not returning this Scope, I might need it for other rifle I have.

Very clear glass
Not top of the line, but nowhere near the bottom either. Really good glass quality, will be buying again. I have bought a few of the "sniper" cheap azz scopes, but never again. This is a very good scope for the price. Holds zero very well, eye relief is great once set up. I have a nikon scope about the same price, but is nowhere near the quality of this one.

Vortex 4×12×44
Great scope. 4 small adjustments and I was hitting bullseye. Sure you can buy a better scope for alot more money. But for hunting 250 or 300 yards you can't go wrong with this scope. Plus the glass is very clear.

Right in between 3 and 4 stars.
Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of Vortex Optics. I ordered this optic to place on one of my Ar builds. For the price it was just what I was looking for to hold me over for a while till the new optic I wanted was released. I also purchased the Nikon p223 mount for this optic. I mounted the optic to my rifle and took it out to the range. I was happy to find that the optic was pretty dang close to being zeroed in at 100 yards. I removed the caps and dialed in to a true center shot . It took me about 7 rounds to find the sweet spot. At 100 yards this optic is great, I used it at the 3x magnification. I then started to try out the BDC reticle and the additional zoom. I will say the BDC did work quite well. The zoom however was not the best. Up to 5x it was still pretty clear and the image was enhanced. It made my 200 yard shots pretty simple. The 6x started to get a little fuzzy around the edges but the center of the optic was still nice and crisp. At 7x the surrounding gets a bit blurry and distorted. The center is a little smaller but still pretty clean. Tho it is a bit harder to get your eye in the right relief zone. For the price this really is a great optic. It holds true after hundreds of rounds and works great for the 100-300 yard shots. Once you start to go above that and are using more magnification it starts to get a little blurry. I think I paid $125 for this optic so I am by no means complaining. In fact it is probably one of the better options at that price. If you are looking for an optic for consistent 100 yard shot groupings using a bench, this optic is great. If you are looking for something you can be a little more tactical with and need quick image acquisition I would say you need to step up to a higher end optic. Tho at this price and with the amazing customer support and warranty from vortex you really can not go wrong with it. I hope this was a helpful review in making your decision !

Great Buy, awesome value....
I love this scope so much I just bought anther one. First one I put on a Marlin 336 30-30 and the next is going on a Mossberg 350 legend. Very bright, ease to adjust, and all around great scope for the money.

Performs Well Above its Cost
Before hunting season a few years ago, I was looking for a scope to put on my new Remington 700 in 300 Winchester Magnum. I was looking for a scope around the 300-350$ range, and just wanted a simple 3-9 power with a focus on high-quality glass, full weather-proofness, and a functional, easy-to-use reticle. Long-story short, there were ample scopes to choose from (which is a great thing), but it was the 170$ (at the time I purchased it) Crossfire II that I kept going back to; 3-9x50mm, with an illuminated but plain reticle. I obviously purchased this scope and have absolutely no regrets doing so. I will not list all of the features this scope has--as that can be found in the product description--but I will attest to how those features are indeed functional, reliable, and combine to make an excellent scope. One of the first things I immediately noticed and appreciated was the generous eye-relief; being able to keep my head back on the cheek rest and away from the eye-piece makes for a much more comfortable shooting experience, especially when shooting a magnum caliber like the 300. Sighting in the scope was a breeze, and the elevation and windage turrets are very solid and well protected. Once you are dialed in for your desired range, it holds its zero, and if anybody is in doubt, it can at least handle the recoil of the 300 win mag. I hunt in the Pacific Northwest, which means a very moist, rainy, densely-vegetated environment where low-light conditions are common even in the middle of the day. The scope has never fogged up or been compromised by water/particulate matter. The clarity is always exceptional and the light transmission allowed by the 50mm objective makes everything brighter when looking through the scope even with poor lighting. What has most surprised me is how useful the illuminated reticle actually is. The illumination can be turned off, and has 10 or 11 levels of brightness, but all it is is a red dot in the center of the duplex. It is very low key, but having that red dot is very helpful when you potentially have to aim into a dark expanse of timber where the black duplex otherwise disappears against the backdrop. The price of this scope was half of what my budget was at the time, but it easily contends with any other scope in the 300-400$ price range. I am not an optics loyalist by any means, but Vortex definitely trumps any of its competitors at this price point! I highly recommend this scope, not just if you are on a budget and need to save money, but if all you want is a solid and reliable scope with good glass for practical applications.
