It was a good purchase, came with a lot for a starter kit. Love that it came with plenty of razors and the soap was very pleasant smelling only con didn't come with a soap bowl

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my fiancee, he likes retro kitchy stuff and has been talking about getting a straight razor. What I received did not exactly look like what was advertised, cheaper looking than I expected. Maybe if you got a little fabric bag or a nice box it would look nicer. The items come loose and not contained in any gift set.

This item was NOT in new condition. It was very used with HAIR still on it. It was very very disappointing.

Firstly to echo what almost everyone has said, you get what you pay for, I don't think any of it is bad quality, economical rather than cheap, I have a straight razor, and its a nightmare to keep sharp, so the individual blades are a boon, in my opinion, second closest shave I ever had, the best is of course a properly sharpened straight razor, nicked myself a couple of times, but nothing really bad, and I sometimes do that with a safety razor, so no trouble there...brush seems good quality and the soap is an added is an excellent add...all in all a worth it (too me) package

I purchased this to give using a straight razor a try as using the 5 blade vibrating razors was just too quick and easy leaving me very bored with shaving.For a first razor its ok, not having to mess about with keeping it sharp is a real bonus at this point, I use each blade twice and then just toss it away, so the blades will last me plenty long enough for my trial run.It is a very lightweight razor which lead to a few cuts the first few times, which I don't think I would have done if it did have a little more weight to it. But after 5 or 6 uses I got the hang of it, and by shave 10 I managed to shave with no cuts, still a long way to go to get the smooth finish I got from my normal razor, but I think this little kit has got me hooked on using straight razors so its doing it job for me.

Bit flimsy to be honest. It's not easy to get the blade to stay in position as you try to close it. It's too light, the grip if awkward and the hinge is too loose. Not overly impressed.I only like washing other peoples blood down the sink, not my own😉

Not a straight razor, but a really good introduction/daily driver. It's definitely a steep learning curve, so be prepared to give yourself some nasty cuts the first time around. After around the fifth shave you're back on track and by the tenth -there's no coming back.The mechanism is a bit finicky and to tight, but the included razors gradually loosen it, to acceptable levels.The brush is superb, the included soap is a blessing. The razors are plentiful, and usually last for more than one shave, this this package will last you for more than a year.The fact that the razor is not hidden behind a protective rail, gives you much better control. This is great if you use not just for a clean shave but also beard grooming.

Cheap rubbish. Flimsy, doesn’t hold blade firmly, so the blade bends when you use it. Useless.The method of attaching a blade is way over complicated for something that should be as simple as taking a shave. I mean seriously who designed this nonsense?Obviously it’s not the seller’s fault, at least they packaged it with a nice brush and some soap! That’s the only useful part of what arrived!
