Haven’t used it yet but was looking for a safari hat and found all the features very apt—- breathable, sun protection crushable/ packable, sweat wicking, keep cool in hot weather, rainproof, chin strap, while looking sharp instead of frumpy/ sloppy. Vendor also patient as we figure out our sizing. Medium still a bit large but using 2 3M hat adjusting strips made it fit perfectly without slipping. Fast delivery. Thank you!

I wore a 7 1/4 hat in the U.S. Army 30 years ago. I don't think my head has grown any so I ordered a medium and it fits a bit tight. If I was to order again knowing what I know now, I'd get a large.The hat looks great, it's definitely a nice piece to have on a cold rainy day and I wear it daily even though it's a bit snug.

This hat arrived in good condition is good quality. We have been having bad storms and I needed something that was waterproof. This hat works excellent and looks good to boot! I would highly recommend this for someone looking for a well made, storm ready head protection. I received the nut brown color and it is very nice and I think will weather well. The sizing is just as described, pick your hat size and you should be ok. There is a stretch band inside so the fit should work fine.

I don't know why the description says "women's" on it now, because it didn't used to, but I got this hat years ago and have taken it all over the place on various camping, hiking, and backpacking trips. It is brilliant at both sun and water protection and, while oilskin isn't the most breathable thing in the world, I took it to a humid forest in eastern Texas in the middle of the summer and it wasn't uncomfortable. I love that it has snaps on either side so you can keep either, both, or neither side of the brim out of the way. Plus having one end of the hat pinned up just makes it look cooler. the material is extremely sturdy and crushable, which makes it super easy to shove into a pack, and I haven't had any issues with deformation of the cap or rim from this at all. Overall an excellent hat that I would highly recommend to take anywhere.

Walking in sunny California can subject one to a good deal of sun exposure. I purchased this hat to shield my face. It's well made, waterproof and the brim is wide enough to provide good shade. Additionally, there are snaps on both sides, so the brim can be turned up either direction depending on one's preference. The size chart is accurate for this hat. I measured the circumference of my head and referred to the chart to select the medium size I purchased. It fit just as expected. The double ties are helpful as well, securing both from behind one's head and under one's chin, thus securing the hat in windy conditions. As delivered this hat is already waterproof and can be renewed with duckback dressing as necessary. Ten minutes in the oven at 150 degrees will cure the dressing so the hat isn't oily to the touch.

This s the best hat for outdoors. Keeps you dry, keeps the sun off, very comfortable. Worth every penny!
