Personalized gardens on a budget
I love that ease of assembling these beds. The wood is unfinished and untreated - safe for organic gardens and ready for personalization. The beds themselves are also personalizable - the different pieces from the company fit together like a puzzle. This makes it great and simple to create the garden of your dreams on a budget. This year I started with a 4x4 bed, but I intend to grow the garden each year. Since all the garden beds fit together, I can do so easily each year while keeping a consistent look to the garden. I can’t speak to how well the beds hold up as this was my first year with the bed, but I’m happy so far and will purchase more for next year.

Great customer service!
I ordered a 4x4 cedar bed, put it together, filled with dirt and planted everything in. I realized the instruction sheet was for a PINE bed, not cedar. I didn't contact Amazon because I haven't gotten the most helpful solutions from them especially if I really want an actual replacement and not just a refund. I went directly to the company's email, informed them of the situation, they asked if my bed had markings that would identify it as pine, sent back photos and I received a Fedex notification for the cedar bed in less than half an hour! Didn't even have to send the Amazon invoice whatsoever. It was so quick and painless. Great customer service.

Wonderful product & customer service
Bought 3 and 2 arrived perfect, but 1 of the side boards was missing from the 3rd box. Contacted Greenes and they promptly sent the missing board, no questions asked. All 3 are now assembled (very easy to do) and 2 have seedlings coming up that were direct sown. I'm excited to plant seedlings into the third this weekend! Presuming they hold up, I'll probably buy at least 1 more next year :)

Deep, Flexible But Roughly Hewn
I purchased two of these items. I specifically purchased them because of their depth. Plants like tomatoes need depth to accommodate their root system. I was also intrigued by the fact that you can combine two planters into one long, deep planter, to accommodate the rambling vines of squash and pumpkin, which is what I ultimately decided to do. Overall, I am okay with the product. It serves the purpose for which I purchased it. However I only gave it three stars because the wood was not finished very well. Instead of the corner posts being smooth inside, they were frayed as if they needed to be sanded which is what I did by hand. I sanded it so that the boards would more smoothly glide in. Even so, installing the boards is not an easy task. Take care to line each board up properly and use force to snugly push them down. With respect to the "decorative" tops, they too are rough and are simply a square with slanted edges. The picture makes them look rather smooth. They are not smooth. Also, you will need a power drill to secure them to the posts since the pre-drilled holes are not completely drilled through. If you are not concerned with depth or flexibility of size, go for Suncast WGB48 48-inch cedar wood raised garden kit. Smoothly manufactured and the smell of cedar is evident the minute you take it out of the box. No tools are required. However, the stake that you secure the boards and drive into the ground makes the structure somewhat permanent to where you place it.

Great product
This a great product. I purchased this for my first raised-bed garden. As a beginner, I was pleased with the quality and feasibility with putting the kit together. I would suggest the product to anyone at any level of gardening.

Replaces same model that lasted 6 years.
We have treated the wood this time so maybe it will last even longer. I use it strictly for herbs. Perfect.

Liked them allot...but
Easy to put together! Nicely packaged! The boards are cedar and all fit well and no issues with the kit! The boards are maybe 1/2-3/4" thick, so not sure how many seasons I will get here in Ma. Before they rot, decay or bow out but I added 2x3 supports , bought on my own, and placed in the middle to prevent bowing on each side, as dirt settles, so that should help limit bowing effect.I looked for a paint to try to treat the wood so that it might last longer but as I read up on stains and oils etc, none sounded safe for an organic garten.I bought two on Amazon but later found out Home Depot sold these kits for $56 each...oh well! Amazon usually the cheapest, in general! But both of these look great and each one takes about 5-7 bags of good soil to fill adequately. For an easy install and hopefully get 2-3 years out of them I like this kit.

Easy to assemble
I bought several of the 4-ft. x 4-ft. x 7-inch kits last spring and found them easy to work with. Two stacked units make a nice raised bed. I didn't want to spend as much on a third bed this year so I tried the 10-inch height. In the end, I didn't save that much, and I prefer the 14-inch height of my other beds, but that's personal preference. The product itself is fine. (Many friends and neighbors have commented on the attractiveness of the units.) How long they will hold up remains to be seen. I have since built myself a compost bin using similarly sized cedar planks I got at the big box home improvement center. Anyone with a power drill driver and a bucket of deck screws can make their own raised bed for less than half the cost of these kits, but it will take you longer to do so. If you want super-easy assembly, buy the Greenes product. It is made in the USA.
