Francois et Mimi Stainless Steel Roll-top Bread Box, Large (Red)

Bought it as a deal for around 15$. It is definitely worth every penny for the sale price. I may not have pulled the trigger for the item's current sales price.The item is sturdy, but as the metal is thin it can be dented. This is nitpicky for the price point, however, and would need to be struck to be dented. Handle is sturdy and hinge feels decent.Dimensions are a little strange. You can almost fit two full loaves of bread comfortably inside, but not quite. A full loaf and two packages of small rolls can fit, albeit tightly. As bread and rolls are usually squared off and rectangular, the form factor of this unit is definitely fashion over function.I would recommend this unit, but I would probably hold out for another sale.

Glad the other reviewers warned me or else I would have been disappointed when I discovered the dent. I ordered the black one so it is kind of hard to tell since the dent is on the top but near the back and the box is sort of glossy. So if I hadn't been inspecting it I wouldn't know if it was a dent or glare. So it really depends on how picky you are. I don't expect the bread box will last very long as it is sort of flimsy but at least the cover doesn't stick or anything. It is large enough for a loaf of bread and some hamburger buns. I was just tired of having stuff in baskets as it looked too messy. Overall does the job but could be better.

I really like this bread box however, it arrived with a broken clip that is on the end of the lid. Other than that, it is a terrific container for your bread. i am able to put two loaves or one loaf and a pack of large bagels. I am giving it a four star because of the broken clip. I wanted to contact the seller but seller info was unavailable. I would recommend this bread box. The price was right.

I like it and it does what is should do. I ordered the red, thinking it would be the same red as the Rachel Ray oil and vinegar set. Well, they are both red, but not the same red. The oil and vinegar bottles are a deeper red. I have them sitting near each other on my counter(no other place for them) and had hoped they would be the same color. I will keep it though.

This breadbox is very spacious. I love the color. It sticks a little when you open and close it, though. ***EDIT APRIL 2014*** They appear to have attached this review to a new model and so um, I don't know why they would do that, I guess it doesn't apply anymore if they stopped making the one I bought.

I purchased this Stainless Steel Roll-top Bread Box, because it was stainless steel, large and looked very solid. It's not my favorite, I personally find it to look a little cheap compared to my other stainless steel items in my kitchen. I was expecting the bread box to more solid than it is, because of the stainless steel lid, but it's not. On a plus side, it is large enough to fit two loafs of bread. This breadbox came bashed and broken... I would give them a 1 star, but the bread box is great in the new condition.I ordered from Polder and Amazon, and they are great. But this one for whatever reason, it looked like someone got mad and kicked it in and then put it in the box and sent it.So... if you get a whole one these Bread Boxes are great! Having said all this, Amazon refunded the cost,shipping and sent a return label, then I just reordered it.

I like the look of this bread box. For a large, I still think it is a little small. Mine usually has a tortillas on the bottom, a small loaf of bread, and a bag of bagels or hot dog buns and it is a pretty tight fit. It still helps to keep my counter tidy.
