Fobus Fobus Standard Holster

This fits the Sig P250 Full Size 9mm perfect. I think it also says it fits the compact as well. It probably would not fit the subcompact but Fobus makes another holster which I own for the subcompact (SG250C SIG 250 Subcompact). I've had custom made holsters, leather holsters, and some really high end stuff. To be honest, this holster does just as good a job for the recreational shooter and I like the easy draw and carry of this polymer holster the best. If you shoot daily or are in law enforcement I would go with a different holster, but for everyone else I don't think you can find a better holster for the money. I prefer these without the rotation option because that option makes the holster sit out further from the hip. Also if you are going to use it for one gun only, you might want to put a little locktight in the screw adjustment. I prefer for self defense holsters that do not require a button to be pressed or anything needed from the shooter when releasing/drawing the gun. I use mine for self defense and the last thing you need is to think about a safety device. This holds the gun in place by slight pressure on the trigger guard (easy to adjust by turning a screw). For the money, it is hard to beat and built really well. The paddle is really comfortable and sits on the hip nice.

Fit perfectly and works well. Tested the theft idea and they couldn't get it out so it's a keeper. I'll recommend this company for future reference.

THE single BEST holster i've ever owned for the money. Let me preface this review stating that i've owned a lot of holsters. I have BlackHawk holsters, I have Uncle Mikes holsters, I have Alien gear holsters, I have a crossbreed holster, and now, I have a fobus holster. I wish, wholeheartedly, that I could take all of my other OWB holsters back, and get a few more of these fobus paddle holsters. If you're a person who is tired of those stupid metal clip on holsters tearing up your belt, or attempting to wear one that attaches to your belt, only to find out that your belt is too flimsy, then this is the holster for you. Period. I've never worn a paddle holster in my life until this one, and, holy crow, I am a convert. The comfort level far surpasses my alien gear and crossbreed OWB holsters. In fact, I've actually forgotten I was wearing it and walked into work with it (whoops). My uptight employer aside, that level of comfort is hard to achieve when you're skin and bones like me, with hip bones that you'd swear were sharpened. The retention is adjustable with a friction screw on the corner by the trigger guard. you can get this thing so tight, that you'll pull it off of your pants before you get the gun out. (Side note, you cannot fire the weapon with the gun in the holster. you just can't do it. I've tried. it's extremely safe) I found the sweet spot in the middle, and slid my big black springfield XD right in there. Took her to the range, practiced a few draws with it until I felt comfortable, and I started carrying her. As of writing this review, I've carried this holster for nearly 25 days. I can't find anything bad to say about it. If I do, i'll update this review. Until then, Throw this puppy in your shopping cart, Hit checkout, and don't look back.

I bought this as an interim open carry holster, away from crowds as it is not specifically designed to be a retention holster. I mainly use it with a Sig Sauer P250 Full-Size (.45 ACP), but have tested it with a Sig Sauer P250 Full-Size (9mm) and a Sig Sauer P250 Sub-Compact (9mm). The full-size 9mm has the same fit as the .45. The sub-compact 9mm fits and snaps in, but due to its smaller all-around dimensions it doesn't enjoy the zero-clearance fit of the full-size weapons. Having for a year in military service in Afghanistan carried a similar holster made by IMI for a 9mm Beretta, there are some things I like about it and some I don't. Obviously most of these are personal preference, so take it with grain of salt. Pros: Lightweight Good fit Rubber-backed paddle keeps shirt tucked in (HUGE improvement over a slick all-plastic paddle) Locks weapon in place Weapon doesn't rattle Holster remains in place during movement When properly inserted on beltline, holster is very secure Cons: Must be worn with an undershirt or rivets on top of paddle dig into skin (not noticed with undershirt) Since it sits on top of the hip, the pistol grip is naturally angled into the wearer's side. No compensation seems to be made to make the grip sit further away from the wearer's ribs. It can be uncomfortable, and I wouldn't recommend it for larger wearers. The barrel of a full-size Sig Sauer weapon extends past the bottom of the holster, which may look cool but causes the barrel to rub against the pants, which in time will rub off the blueing and possibly wear through the pants. No protection inside for the finish of the weapon (which is noted on the packaging), and use in a dusty environment will hasten wear of the finish The fixed lock for the trigger guard in this particular situation is probably more secure than a button release, but frequent removal of the weapon will once again wear the finish off the trigger guard The holes in the side expose the weapon to the environment (especially dust) a bit more, though obviously it's just a styling cue (weight savings would be negligible) Final Verdict: I really like this holster for the mere fact that it stays where I put it and doesn't allow my tucked-in shirt to slip out during movement. That has been the biggest annoyance I have faced with a purely plastic paddle. In my mind, it outweighs any of the cons. Your experience and individual situation may vary. If you're more concerned about protecting the finish of your weapon or need a retention system because you'll be around people (EXTREMELY important if you open carry), look into a Safariland holster or something a law enforcement officer would put into use. One side note for deployed soldiers: don't buy this or any paddle holster if you plan to use it with body armor (IBA/IOTV/Plate Carrier). It sits much too high on the hip and will get caught, the safety will be flipped, it will push up on your kit, etc. You'll want a drop holster, leg holster, or one that attaches to your kit if you have the room and don't mind the added weight.
