The hoops were pretty small when I got them. Which is what I wanted because it fits quite well on my cartilage peircing. The ball on it (which I thought was plastic) is metal. Though while putting it on it took some time because after I hooped it through my ear, it was hard to put the wire through the slot that is has to hold it.

I ordered a 12mm set and the earrings I received were very, very tiny...

I love them. I bought them for my cartilage piercing, but ended up putting them in my lobes instead. They look perfect. It did take awhile to get them snapped together, but I wore them a couple days before they were actually clipped in, and there was no real way they could have come out of my ears. Even if you think you can't close them properly, they should be safe in your ears. Eventually I had the patience to get them connected, and now they're happily in place. I received compliments on them within a few days of wearing them. 100% happy.

I needed to find a hook earring for my cartridge, I was looking all over for a hoop earring that had some kind of "flare" to it. I came across this earring and I am really happy I did. It's small enough so it looks like it is meant for my cartridge, and the ball gives it a cute little extra. Have been wearing this non stop since I have purchased it. Overall A+

Yes, they are a little hard to get fastened the first time, but once they're on the stay on. The first pair I ordered lasted 2 years, and that was wearing them non-stop every day. Amazing product for the price

Perfect size for cartilage, but it's hard to actually put the back inside of the hole.
