Great product to get for your snoring partner
I got this for my partner who snores almost non-stop throughout the night,in any position (even before he is asleep haha). I am sooooo happy with this product. It is the first ever product to allow me sleep undisturbed. That said, it didn't stop the snoring 100% but definitely reduced its frequency and volume by about 80%. That's good enough for me. Still using the ear plugs (perhaps slowly get rid of then completely) , but don't have to put then in so deep anymore that I used to wake up with sore ears every morning and still a disturbed sleep. It is expensive but it is worth it.P.s. my partner said it was a but uncomfortable to start with and took him some time to get used to it, but now he has no issue with wearing it every night.I do recommend this, but I believe you need to find out what is causing your snoring first.

Not a good experience
This one piece MAD device is at the higher end of pricing for such a simple version. I actually know of no other brand charging £60 for a simple one piece boil and bite guard, so had hoped to have a superior fitting and functionality with it.However, despite follow the instructions to the letter, the initial fitting was not great. There was no good retention of my teeth and I knew the guard would simply fall out.I tried a second heating and refitting, but this ended up worse with both upper and lower teeth not being in any way tight at all. The guard felt totally loose and I predicted it wouldn’t work at all. Finally, on the third remoulding the device became too deformed from its original shape and just didn’t fit at all. Ended up straight in the bin.The material is extremely soft. Your teeth can bite through it easily on subsequent remouldings. And I never got to use it for even one night. A disappointing waste of £60.I have not experienced this level of difficulty moulding any other similar devices as their material is a little more robust than this one. You really only get one shot at it, and at this price they could easily include two (one for a practice, and one for the final result). I’m sure it costs them little to nothing to actually produce it. Not recommended.

Stops snoring, but be prepared for a torrent of dribble and a sore tongue
I have one of these. Snoring has been cured. BUT. I wake up 3-4 times a night with dribble all down my face and a soggy pillow. Also, my tongue is ruined. Since starting to wear it nightly 4 months ago, the whole of the front of my tongue is sore such that I can’t eat anything salty/spicy as it’s stings too much. So I now have a happy wife but can’t eat half the food I love

Very difficult to fit yourself
I bought this hoping to give my wife some relief from my snoring, however, I found it extremely difficult to fit despite following the instructions. The sides fold in easily when you are fitting which I was unable to remedy fully. Unfortunately it means it is too uncomfortable to wear throughout the night. (I am used to wearing night guards.) So for me it was not value for money.

Worked for me!
Really pleased with this product - tried pillows, strips, sprays and magnets but this is the only product that has had and instant and noticeable result. If you are used to moulding sports mouth guards - this is no different. Follow the instructions and you can't go wrong. My partner hasn't heard a peep out of me since using this and i would normally be waking him up at least 3/4 times a night snoring. My snoring app still registers a noise but only 7% light snoring rather than 40% and heavy snoring. Can feel a little uncomfortable when dropping off and first thing my bottom teeth ache for an hour and feel i have dribbled a bit in the night - but well worth the results.

Massively overpriced - no notable advantage over £8 generic grands
Suggest buying one of the generic 'double mouth guard / gum shields' with a central breathing hole (circa £8 on amazon) instead.Aside from the undulations on the inside vertical surfaces of the Somnoguard 3 (which do not appear to significantly affect function) they would otherwise appears identical in terms of aesthetics & practical functionality.N.B. Heating the Somnoguard will allow its projecting edges to be slightly adjusted to the shape of your gums, however there is no significant moulding of the biting surfaces for either upper or lower teeth (in this respect it is also identical per the cheap generic /non branded mouthguards). In terms of practical functionality I cannot see any difference/ reason which would justify a circa £60 price tag for the Somnoguard when the similar generic brands are £8.

Finally. I found something that works.
I am a long-time sleep apnea sufferer who uses a CPAP machine. I'm not overweight, nor am I a smoker, so my sleep apnea is almost certainly related to the physiology of my soft palate, which closes over my airway when I'm sleeping. I had an idea that a mandibular advancement device (MAD) might help. Having been fitted with an NHS MAD, which didn't work, I was skeptical. The difference with the Somnoguard 3 is that you self-fit it to your own bite and you can advance the lower part until it's just right for you. I had a couple of tries to get it right (you can reheat it and reshape it each time), and bingo! I've had getting on for 3 weeks of low to no snoring scores on Snorelab, and I'm definitely feeling much more awake and energised. Finally, I'm getting the sleep I need. I'd also add that being able to take this on holiday or for nights away is a dream compared to the CPAP machine. Like so many sleep apnea devices, they don't work the same for everyone, but at this price I'd say it's a worthwhile spend and would recommend giving it a try. Good luck.
